The case was a sexual harassment case (a very severe one at that), and the ML affair was relevant because the affair with an intern made him look guilty in the harassment of PJ.

Just because much of the international media misreported things doesn't change what the PJ case was about, and why Clinton was testifying about the ML affair as part of the PJ case.

Yet, to a certain extent, true.

The BJ was simply the icing on the cake (sorry).

What "it" was about was the Republicans doing everything they could on all possible fronts to make the President look bad. If it wasn't a BJ, it was going to be about something else as long as they kept digging hard enough and pressing uncomfortable issues and putting the man under oath so they could press him harder and maybe he'd slip up and then they'd "have" him for "something" proving he was "evil" and by extension the Republicans the only "right" direction for the country.

Not that this is what Rush meant . . . but he was, in fact, inadvertently correct.
