kelpdiver 2 #2576 September 11, 2012 QuoteQuote Barring a dramatic turn in the available evidence, there's no way a jury can convict beyond reasonable doubt, so the trial is unnecessary and unfair to the defendant. That, of course, is an opinion and not a fact, and not all of the evidence is available to us. It's an opinion shared by Alan Dershowitz. And with the discovery process requiring release of evidence to the defense (meanwhile leaking anything damaging to Zimmerman it left and right to the press), it's unlikely something dramatically different will come along. The trial will confirm this, as well as that this should never have gone to trial. Zimmerman will be out 6 to 7 figures...or more accurately, those willing to donate will be. Money that could have been better spent on just about anything, be it children or hookers.

normiss 800 #2581 September 11, 2012 As are yours. You should become more familiar with Florida law and court process on the charges Mr. Zimmerman has had levied. There's a very good chance this will not go to a jury. Local legal talking heads are betting the case will be dismissed. SYG and a lack of evidence and/or witnesses to the incident. Neither of which require a jury anywhere near the court house.

He didn't make value judgements on the crime, but rather on the process and how it was violated. This is where your Englishness comes into play- due process is a bit optional in your frame of reference.

normiss 800 #2587 September 11, 2012 SYG hearing requested Just part of due process, legal heads are saying they expect this to be successful. If not, then the laundry list of due process errors come into play unless trial gets scheduled first, then they become key in appeals processes. Must be a real bitch to not be able to work and still need a half mill to defend yourself. American legal system is THE best system money can buy. He should absolutely get whatever he can out of the situation, Of course if you think he's a racist cold blooded murderer, then you won't agree.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

He'll still have a thing about black guys. He'll have a sense of grievance about the time he's spent in prison but elation that he's finally got away with it. Just a little patience and he can make sure he gets himself into a situation where he can bait and murder again. He'll also almost certainly escalate to a double or triple murder just to show how 'outnumbered' he was.
