So, according to Zimmerman's logic, Trayvon was black so about to murder him. That's why he had to shoot first.

The part where he was slamming his head against the ground might have been a better indication. Much more so than the .025% chance the teenager was a murderer by virtue of being black.

Not the bit where Zimmerman (with a previous history of violence - serial killers rarely start off 'cold') chases down Trayvon to confront him?

uh, you asked about Zimmerman's logic. He may have followed him because he thought the black kid was acting funny and might be a thief (though the 911 tapes seem to discount this). but the moment he decided Martin might be a murderer and he needed to use his gun came when he was getting physically hurt, which we also have evidence for.

>You're going to have a much harder time proving Trayvon was a serial killer.

Not at all! He was a LATENT serial killer. "Latent" means that he didn't do it yet. He in fact hadn't killed anyone yet, so the "latent" part is proven.

How do you know he hasn't killed anyone we haven't seen his school records yet?:D

The racial demographics regarding serial killers are often subject to debate. Compared to the United States and South Africa, Australia has a much lower incidence of known serial murders.[12] In the United States, the majority of reported and investigated serial killers are white males, from a lower-to-middle-class background, usually in their late twenties to early thirties.[6][13][14] However, there are African American, Asian, and Hispanic (of any race) serial killers as well, and, according to the FBI, based on percentages of the U.S. population, whites are not more likely than other races to be serial killers.[14] Criminal profiler Pat Brown says serial killers are usually reported as white because the media typically focuses on "All-American" white and pretty female victims who were the targets of white male offenders, that crimes among minority offenders in urban communities, where crime rates are higher, are under-investigated, and that minority serial killers likely exist at the same ratios as white serial killers for the population. She believes that the "serial killers are always white" myth might have become "truth" in some research fields due to the over-reporting of white serial killers in the media.[13]

Some authors state that African American serial killers are as prevalent, or more so, in proportion to the African American population. According to some sources, the percentage of serial killers who are African American is estimated to be between 13 and 22 percent.[15][16] Another study has shown that 16 percent of serial killers are African American, what author Maurice Godwin describes as a "sizeable portion".[17] Anthony Walsh writes, "While it is true that most serial killers are white males, white (Anglo) males are actually slightly underrepresented in the serial killer ranks in terms of their proportion of the general male population" and that "[w]hatever the true proportion of black serial killers in the United States is or has been, it is greater than the proportion of African Americans in the general population."[18] Other reports show about 80% of serial killers being identified as white, placing nonwhite serial killers as accounting for less than 20% of serial killers.[19] While it is not conclusively known if black Americans are statistically less or more likely to be serial killers, reasons for under or overreporting of black serial killers could be due to racial profiling, the same factor that could account for the popular perception or reporting of serial killers as uniformly white.[19] Popular racial stereotypes about the lower intelligence of African-Americans, and the stereotype of a serial killer as a white male with "bodies stacked up in the basement and strewn all over the countryside" may explain the media focus on serial killers that are white and the failure to adequately report on those that are black.[20]
If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead.

This would be Zimmerman's frame of reference. Being black Trayvon would be immediately identified as a latent killer. Zimmerman would have to shoot first. Just bait and shoot. Easypeasy.

Yep. And since Zimmerman was white, Trayvon would have identified Zimmerman as a latent serial killer, and known that he had to attack him. Zimmerman knew this; thus he was justified in shooting first to defend his life.

Isn't he White/Hispanic? Might skew the data!

I think we're supposed to call it 'undocumented latent serial killer'.
:P

"Undocumented" is so vulgar. How about "Document challenged legitimate guest latent serial killer"

one more refinement if it pleases the audience

Does this help the defense???

That was released as part of This stort today.

Well, obviously this white hispanic is just trying to use a broken nose and a smashed up face to justify killing a black child.

Running around playing cop, he probably deserved it.

Playing cop? I'd say more like playing Doctor - performing a delayed full-term abortion.

Gawd, that brings back memories of the time I slipped on ice a couple years ago, and smashed my face into concrete steps on the way down. That is pretty much how I looked immediately afterward.[:/]

no one watching this any more?

not till it gets to trial. What is there to watch right now? We already know that the prosecution has behaved poorly in the matter.

I now think this will never get to trial

The charges may be dropped

The latest I heard was yesterday, 11 Dec. The judge denied a motion to have GZ's GPS tracker removed.

Last week there was a short blurb about GZ being out of funds. He was trying to raise money with his autograph. Sell or donate, I don't remember. His wife's perjury trial is coming up and they are broke.

Sadly this whole thing is a joke

But, she should not have lied either....

Local news os focusing on the decedents family lawyer interview with the decedents girlfriend who claims she was on the phone with Trayvon when he died. Apparently THAT interview was the interview that was behind the warrant and the charges. Seems there were no law enforcement or court people involved at all, ABC News was there though, and the recording has clearly been edited and is totally useless. Other than the attorney speaking, you can't understand a single word she says.
Interesting though the State Attorney Special Investigator flew her on a state plane numerous times to Jacksonville.
Something is starting to smell on the State side of the case.
TOTAL manipulation of the case for the media and the public.
Apparently it has worked so far.
