oldwomanc6 52 #3 April 15, 2012 Quote It's shit like this that begs the question: Preserve the Union? Why? I don't know if I would go so far as to agree with this. However, I find it hard to believe that anyone on either side of the aisle actually thinks that holding hands is a gateway "drug" that will lead to depravity beyond comprehension. Some of the comments brought up a good point: hand holding is not alway sexual. IMO, more often it is not. Although, [tongue in cheek] isn't Tennessee one of those places that Daddy holding sweet Princess's hand may actually lead to something verboten?lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

Let's see if I can get Pavlov's dogs back in their pens before they start salivating at the way the media has rung their bell and manipulated them. Facts: The bill summary: http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/billinfo/BillSummaryArchive.aspx?BillNumber=SB3310&ga=107 Sex education! Oh the horror! The definition of "gateway sexual activity": “Gateway sexual activity” means sexual contact encouraging an individual to engage in a non-abstinent behavior. A person promotes a gateway sexual activity by encouraging, advocating, urging or condoning gateway sexual activities;Source: http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/107/Bill/SB3310.pdf, page 2, item (7). The word "hand" doesn't even exist anywhere in the Bill. There is no list of what activities are defined as being "gateway". Other news reports talk about what "could" be included in that definition, which makes it mere conjecture, not fact. If there was such a list, I imagine blow jobs would probably be on the list, but hand-holding? Not likely. This is apparently someone's personal interpretation, not based upon the actual facts, dutifully reported by the liberal media to bash conservatives, and you lapped it up like one of Pavlov's dogs. Woof! Quit believing everything you read in blogs. Quit letting the media play your emotions and make you believe things that aren't true. Be skeptical. Research facts. Think. tkhayes 348 #13 April 17, 2012 QuoteThere is no list of what activities are defined as being "gateway". therein lies part of the problem. Bad legislation begins with good intentions and ends with poor writing. Hand-holding is there because 'gateway' could interpret it that way. want to write good laws? There is nothing stopping you.... Can't write good laws because you cannot define the problem,? Then perhaps there is no problem. That's the republican in me....or more like - that's the Ron Paul in me.
