JohnRich 4 #28 April 24, 2012 QuoteOr (horrors) to not pursue activities you are incompetent at. Have you ever punched through a cloud in freefall in violation of the FARs? Have you ever opened lower than 2,000', in violation of the BSR's? Have you ever made a bad spot? Does that make you an incompetent skydiver? Have you ever rolled through a stop sign? Have you driven without your seat belt? Have you exceeded the speed limit? Does that make you an incompetent driver? Fact is, if you do anything often enough, for long enough, you're bound to violate some technical rules sooner or later. That doesn't make you incompetent at what you're doing, nor does it even mean that you are generally unsafe. It just means that you're human, and everyone makes mistakes now and then, especially when it involves a myriad of government regulations that are difficult to comprehend. steve1 5 #29 April 25, 2012 The hunting rules and regs. are getting so complicated each year, that it's getting really hard not to break a law. Is everyone who breaks a hunting regulation considered a poacher? I think that is stretching things a lot. Newspapers and the media are really good at stretching things just as far as they can. I'm not a big fan of Ted Nugent, but once in a while he says something that makes a whole lot of sense.

Yep, and many of those laws are simply ridiculous...they're just designed to make more money and keep the bureaucratic bullshitters in business.Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... This was ted's second offense (that he was caught) in 2 yeas involving baiting, he can now no longer hunt in California or Alaska. Both offenses were during the filming of his TV show, If anyone thinks Ted did not understand the law involving the Baiting of animals, thier just making excuses for him. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2010/08/18/ted-nugent-fined-baiting-deer-shot-tv/
