Most Christians accept evolution

The one that sticks in my mind the most is the one he called IGYYSOB. Or, "I've got you, you son-of-a-bitch."

It plays out with these guys all the time, I'm right your wrong, you Christian SOB. It is simply adolescent argument as far as I am concerned.

Maturational development is learning that adolescent rebellion has an ending point. Some of those rebellious antagonistic patterns take longer than others to grow beyond.

We all hang on to some of them way past their expiration date. Some never give them up.

I don't know the ages of the primary antagonistists here now but I think two of them are in their 20's and one is 30 something.

As one who is on the side of "wrong" it's no wonder you see it this way.
Beyond all of your above drivel, there IS an issue here...That being that there is an overwhelming amount of hard, objective evidence supporting evolution, and absolutely none supporting the intellectual joke that is "creationism". Once again, the religilous are desperately trying to hold onto some bullshit theory that flies in the face of reality beacuse it exposes religion as sham it is.
Like so many times in the past, science will prevail and the religilous will start with the "well, what we REALLY meant was..." monolugues.:S

whether you want to believe me or not...

...there's your sign.:P

I didn't tell you to just take my word at face value. Look at the evidence yourself. Evolution has so much evidence to support it, it's overwhelming.

How much research on evolution have you done?

Well I guess you got me. I need to go back and relive my life, eh.

And maturational development is reached after adolescent rebellion which is effectively a way to become independent of (sky)daddy.

IGYYSOB!!!!11111

But I'll admit that many people who grew over their religion, including myself, went through a phase that has some resemblance to puberty. But that doesn't mean that anyone who bashes religion is going through that phase, especially not if the bashed religion is an abomination like Christianity.

Or...you could recalibrate your bullshit detector and quit being so freakin' gullible. Somehow I don't see that happening, though.

P.S. I'm still waiting for a scientific explanation on how the Bombardier Beetle evolved.

It was already spoon-fed to you...and as a "creationist's" argument, it was blown out of the water over 30 years ago! C'mon, Ron, you're really embarrassing yourself here.

Living a life of suicidal alcoholism is much more scientific than being delivered into sanity and sobriety by the grace of God through Jesus Christ.

Yeah, applied science worked wonders for me. No thanks.

You've thrown the baby out with the bathwater, Ron. Just because your belief in an imaginary god helped you in one area of your life, there's no need to go overboard and throw Reason out of your life altogether.

Here is a good explanation.

http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/bombardier.html

"a step-by-step evolution of the bombardier system is really not that hard to envision. The scenario below shows a possible step-by-step evolution of the bombardier beetle mechanism from a primitive arthropod."

All it takes is a little faith in evolution.

What does alcoholism have to do with science??

Evidence shows that alcoholism is chronic. The end result is death unless intervened by insanity or jail.

And yet, you want me to do that by denying what worked. No can do.

The end result of anything is death.

Drink water long enough - death.
Breath long enough - death.
Eat tofu long enough - death.

You're going to die of something no matter what.

I'm not saying alcoholism is a good thing, but to say death is the reason it's bad is specious.

It's much more plausible then "God did it". There is no way to say with absolute certainty how the Bombardier Beetle evolved. Anyone that claims to have absolute certain knowledge of how it came to be is full of shit and that is what Creationism claims to know.

Science didn't cause you to be an alcoholic. Science can be used to try and understand alcoholism and find ways to deal with it. You used religion to motivate yourself to deal with your alcoholism. It works for some people and doesn't for others. It doesn't mean that religion is any more valid and it doesn't change the results of continued alcoholism.
