Apparently they're secret.

Reminds me of Nixon's secret plan to get the US out of Vietnam. That was secret because it didn't really exist.

Nixon DID get us out of Vietnam.

Not with his "secret plan" though. Try reading some history, you may find it enlightening.

yet more soldiers (roughly 50/50) died during that *4 year* withdrawal than in the 3-4 years of heavy fighting under LBJ.

How do you know it wasn't his "Secret Plan"? It was a secret, remember?

So what. It took a surge to get us out of Iraq.

That's not an example of success either. But it didn't kill 25,000 American soldiers, or close to it.

Which brings us back to why Romney and Ryan won't reveal their budget details. Maybe they're afraid the Viet Cong will get wind of them.

Nah, given the current administrations total charlie foxtrot with international relations, I'm sure the VC already knows everything they need to.

Then perhaps we could ask the Vietnamese, who are now our friends, if they would kindly let the American people know what Romney has in store for us.

Turns out the secret plan was getting our ass kicked. Being facetious of course. Once our leadership figured out we didn't belong, all options for a face-saving exit were gone.

You know, like 90+ percent of Americans these days who sell their vote to the highest bidder.

Blues,
Dave

Please tell me which candidate is doing this and how much can I get?

Just a quick list on Romney.

He exported jobs from the US
He has off shore accounts in places like the Caymans.
He has paid les taxes then me or any middle class American I know.

Last I checked it was people like him who fucked this country for more money, how the hell can you sell him as a job creator?

I hope Obama wins I would love to see what he does when he doesn’t have to worry about reelection.

However overall I don’t think no matter who wins things will change in a drastic way as they need too.

If keeping $Millions in offshore accounts netted him not one dollar reduction in taxes (to paraphrase Romney's claim), why is he (and Bain) paying high priced lawyers and accountants to set up these accounts in the Caymans? Does his money like the climate down there?

It's entertaining when people get all pissy over someone who has more money than they do actually manages their money legally.
I don't understand why we feel the need to hate people for great success.

I'd like a level playing field, so that the very very wealthy get to pay tax at the same rate as middle class folks, and not at some preferred low rate that only they can access.

If Romney paid tax at the same rate I do, the extra revenue would completely pay for the benefits of dozens of disabled veterans.

You might want to enroll in some financial management classes. There you will learn that a diversified portfolio is a sign of a strong overall investment strategy. That includes investments in foreign markets. My guess is that if you have an IRA, that many of the mutual funds actually have investments in foreign stocks. You will also learn that Caymen Island Banks are not the shadowy places that most of the grossley uninformed think they are. They are actually quite commonly used as a place to gather investment money from around the world. Do you really believe that Transnational Corporations are a new concept?

You’re making the assumption that I don’t like him because he has more money than me, while my issue the reason the country is fucked is because of guys like Romany and a system that is broken.
He paid 16% in taxes I paid more when I was making 40K a year. So why would I EVER vote for a guy who not only represents a system that is flawed but took advantage of it and feels entitled to do so.

Things have to change for the middle class to have a chance, and the middle class needs to be strong for America to be strong. He does not represent that in ANY WAY.

Right, what you don't have is a very good understanding of what Cayman Island Banks are used for nor how international investment money is gathered.

Cute reply though, unfortunately no substance.

We all (including you) know why Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Luxembourg... banks are preferred, and the reason is NOT diversity. You just can't bring yourself to admit it.
