Where in other nations the poor would work the fields and maintain crops or small animals our poor do have housing and have access to high calorie foods. Thus this is a false comparison. However as can be noted when looking at the past 50 or so years, the taxation and economic movements made have greatly favored the rich over the middle class. Case in point is the middle class dream of owning a home. This simply implies that the home no longer becomes a shelter rather an investment. And though people will argue a great majority of middle class folks see their homes as more than shelter but also as their nest egg as well as their greatest personal and economic asset. Recent trends over the past two decades have eroded the value of this nest egg which greatly affects the quality of life of the middle class. The rich conversely utilize complex tools to diversify their investments. And as such they are immune to the slings and arrows that have in the past 20 years decimated the middle class and its value. One great example is our friend Mr. Romney who derives a great deal of his wealth from stock and bond options rather than hard assets such as his home. Sorry about the long response but from the looks of it that's where it's going. As for this woman...well I recall my accounting professor once stated "Barring a massive hookers and blow addict once you clear $30 mill liquid you can never go broke." I'm guessing Jubba the Hun here doesn't exactly do much to run the empire. There are many well to do well educated folks under her, pardon the pun, who run the business.Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. The only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and fools!
kallend 2,057 #77 September 13, 2012 Quote But take the quality of life for the poorest Americans and compare it to 99% of Africa or the Middle East...a scale that is a ratio and not actual numbers can be misconstrued for many arguments. Indeed, it is easier to succeed in the USA than in those places because our predecessors had the foresight to invest in an infrastructure that promotes success. An infrastructure that many on the right deny exists, and do not wish to provide for future generations.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. Simply saying so doesn't prove the claim. One of the reasons why the middle class is 'shrinking' per some metrics as useful as GINI is that many moved into the upper class. Meanwhile the poor continue to have no meaningful wealth, so of course the ratio continues to rise. This whole post of your's is rambling, incoherent. Please think it through and then write it out. Pro athletes and Donald Trump frequently disprove this.
