I've never figured out why people don't get that the lower income people don't pay much (or nothing) because they don't make much (or nothing). Angry Republican: "Why aren't those poor people paying taxes? They've got no housing to pay for, no vehicle to maintain, no need to maintain a business casual wardrobe; step up to the plate jobless or barely employed scum!" It's laughable to hear them complain that the small percent of people making most of the discretionary money need to pay even lower taxes than they are - which are nearly at an all-time low. I've said it before and feel the need to say it again - it is the propaganda coup of the century that the wealthy have somehow formed a coalition out of the very folks to whom they are giving the worst fucking. Hard to understand why he is bitching so much about all of this He is getting what he want from the gov QuoteWelfare spending jumps 32% in four years http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/oct/18/welfare-spending-jumps-32-percent-four-years/ I gotta wonder How much is enough?"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." RonD1120 62 #102 October 18, 2012 Every church I have ever been involved with has had a program of outreach to the less fortunate. I would venture to say that over 95% of all churches in America do the same. These programs provide food, financial assistance and some provide medical treatment as well. The little church I am attending now feeds close to 100 families per week. That is how we Christians do it. Your anger continues to be misplaced.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them. How much of the money taken in is used to feed the less fortunate, or provide services, versus 1) lobby for anti gay marriage legislation 2) build really fucking ugly buildings plated with solid gold 3) keep people like Tammie Fae in limos and makeup? Pastors shouldn't be paupers, but they shouldn't be princes either. 4) missionary work (a friend of mine left a church after it decided it should mail letters to every citizen in England...apparently being Christian wasn't enough) 5) legal fees and payoffs for child molesters

However, back in the day, my mother was a fan of James Bakker and Tammy Faye for a short period. Her contributions were over and above what she tithed.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.
