Population-wide heathcare, killing Bin Laden, ending the Iraq war, recovering from a recession. Quite a failure. What would a success be? A war with North Korea based on false info? A terrorist attack against Atlanta that killed 3000 Americans? A massive recession? I guess not everyone can be that "successful."
ManagingPrime 0 #77 February 28, 2013 Quote What would a success be? Delivering the hope and change he campainged on. Things like.... Something more akin to national health care. Ending interventionalist policies. Large public works projects on the national infrastructure. Prosecuting those responsible for the most recent financial crises. Improving transparency and accountability in the government. Ending the super cozy relationships that lobbyists and politicians share. Respecting states rights. Respecting the constitution. ... but I'll continue to shit in one had and wish in the other.I find obama worse than bush for one reason and one reason only. He campained on this hope and change bit and a lot of people belived it. Turns out he's more of the same for the most part. At least with bush I knew we were fucked from day one. OHCHUTE 0 #79 February 28, 2013 QuoteQuoteThis is probably the dumbest hypothetical situation that's ever come through this board. And yes, I was witness to the truther threads. Really? Are you old enough to have a personal memory of race riots, civil rights demonstrations and protests about the Vietnam War and the draft in the 1960s? Malcom X, black Muslims and Black Panthers? The Weather Underground? The "police riot" at the 1968 Democratic Convention? Students shot to death at Kent State and Jackson State? Well, I am. A lot of people wanted to attack soldiers and LEOs about those things. Don't be so fast to cavalierly dismiss the scenario. Pigs. How could you forget what they were then, and would still become again.

Heathcare that will reduce docs pay and cause them to not take care of Medicaid patients, Bin Lauden so, he was pretty much ineffective once Atta and the rest killed themselves, the war in Irag is not ending, and we're not any better off economically since the recession, as there's just as many out of work. Yes Failure. And its going to get worse.

Don't forget murdering American Citizens without due process, over 8 million more people out of work than there were when he took office, gun walking that is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people in Mexico, giving a pass to Wall Street Bankers who created the financial problems to begin with and spending more money in just 4 years than all the Presidents in history, combined. Yep, quite an accomplishment.

skypuppy 1 #83 February 28, 2013 QuoteNobody's taking away your guns. The really crazy weapons, ones that should remain in the hands of the military...could become restricted. A majority of Americans support this idea. No worries. There are plenty of others to choose from. How many weapons are privately held in the USA? No one really knows. Best guesses run 250 million up to a BILLION. I wouldn't worry, it's ingrained into our culture...the Land of the Gun, as it were. Note: Advocating the overthrow of the US Government by force is against the law. The problem isn't with the system. It's with the people we elected to do the job. They just don't WANT to do the job. They want to play politics. Answer: Vote in people who WILL do the job. US history shows that from time-to-time, a majority of the people (who have the real power) that we've elected at the national level have been bums, and needed to go. It happens. Next time you go to the polling booth, remember that before you cast your vote. Maybe give the New Kid on the Block a chance. depends what you classify as a real crazy weapon. The AR15 is the most popular sporting rifle in the nation. I don't believe a majority support banning it.If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead. Bruce McConkey 'I thought we were gonna die, and I couldn't think of anyone
