those who have no interest in peaceful coexistence.

I know what you mean. Anyone who has actual interest in peace would at minimum return the stolen property. First part of finding peace is justice you can’t hold on to illegally occupied land and expect peace.

Translation - the Jews need to throw themselves into the sea and surrender the 'stolen' Israel. Then they can have peace...in death.

Of course Amazon long ago destroyed this argument, pointing out all the stolen lands of Jews in nations surrounding Israel.

LOL yea Maybe in your extremely bias minds.
If you think god gave you the land 5000 years ago then I have no argument. I can’t discuss facts with people who believe in myths and only myths that suit their agenda.

Your arguments are so weak that even you must have noticed the shifting of views towards Israel...Then again maybe you are unable to even notice that.

You do know people lived there before there was any religions right?? Moses did not invent people FYI. :D:D:D

I can see once again that this sort of real world discussion is a bit too tall for a physicist like yourself. And Hawking.

Yes a PHD and a world renowned PHD just do not have your mental capacity to understand your depth of un-bias knowledge. We might have to move to mars to make room for your EGO.:D:D

I do have a pretty big fucking ego, and I'm happy with it.

You seem to be making two bad assumptions
1- that intelligence translates to infailability. In fact, we see that this can be quite the opposite.
2- that PhDs translate to intelligence, and the lack thereof indicates a lower intelligence.

The funny bit to me is this idea of an 'academic boycott.' Israel is surrounded by the land of the morons, thanks to clergy who have far more power than they ought to...and any academic should be embarrassed to tacitly endorse this over the freedoms in Israel.

I think the argument is more about the land and assets that were seized from the Jews during pogroms and expulsions in the Arab world in the 20th century. Those people were then forced to move to Israel with nothing in their pockets and were in effect refugees. The argument is not so much about the scattering of Jews from Judea thousands of years ago or a sense of religious entitlement to the land.

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

And why do plumbers trust medicines that are developed by highly educated scientists?

Wendy P.

Because their time is far too valuable to waste on biochemical research, pharmaceutical formulation, clinical trials and regulatory approval.

A higher education does not mean that someone has wisdom. Wisdom is what is needed to deal with social issues, not a PhD in physics.

I wonder how Sheldon Cooper feels. That would be at least as important as Hawkings.

Lawyer has a plumbing emergency and calls a plumber.
Plumber spends a few hours fixing the problem and hands the lawyer a bill.
Lawyer looks at the bill and says, "Holy crapola!! I'm a lawyer and I don't make that kind of money!"
Plumber says, "I didn't make that kinda money when I was a lawyer either."

The wisdom that is taught in 4th grade in the US?

I dislike and condemn many of Israeli policies when it comes to the treatment of the Palestinians, but I do not support the academic boycott of Israel for various reasons.

Well, that is clearly from a private, very fundamentalist religious school.

I'm sure they exist in other countries, too. Not only Christian, but other religions as well.

One day you will learn wisdom cannot be taught

Then how does it develop, because most 15-year-olds aren't very wise at all.

Simply put he is not an idiot that is why his opinion matters to me.

Bullshit on stilts.

His opinion matters to you only insofar as you agree with him and you can use his endorsement of a boycott as an appeal to authority... a logical fallacy btw.

A higher education does not mean that someone has wisdom. Wisdom is what is needed to deal with social issues, not a PhD in physics.

Then what you want is a wise person with a PhD in sociology. ;)

>And why do plumbers trust medicines that are developed by highly educated scientists?

They don't! They aren't some elitist ivory tower socialist assholes. They use medicine that other plumbers develop using good ol' common sense.

(Which is one reason you can never seem to find a plumber when you need one . . .)

******He is this generations Einstein.

Oh, dear, no.
While that may be a popularly held belief, it's not true by a long shot.
Einstein had much better hair.

He also fundamentally changed how we look at the universe.
Hawking stands on his shoulders.
