While what someone did is important, why is equally or moreso. Not to excuse it, but to attempt to explain it.

There might be some out there that I'd associate with that had committed worse crimes and others that committed lesser crimes I'd steer clear of.

Most liberals, like most conservatives, think about issues and take positions based on each issue. Then either they or someone else assigns them a classification based on either the preponderance of their positions, or a single position.

If you take all your thinking points from some outside source so that they're all consistent, then I hope you don't vote.
