NSA collecting phone records of millions of Verizon customers daily

Recommended Posts

You are wrong. My position on this has not changed one iota since the Patriot Act was passed in 2001.

It is a bad law.

However, you can't brand anyone a criminal for doing what it allows, and only the courts have the authority to declare it unConstitutional, and they haven't done that.

***I just discovered this link. This is a long thread and it may have been cited previously. If so, my apologies.

Main Core is the code name of a database maintained since the 1980s by the federal government of the United States. Main Core contains personal and financial data of millions of U.S. citizens believed to be threats to national security.[1]

What we have today (saddly) are political critters who think that someone disagreeing with them is a threat to national security:(

So, what you are saying is that you oppose, and condemn Obama's actions and decisions regarding the Patriot Act.

so if Bush = Jesus
and Jesus = Superman

then Bush = George Reeve? Or is it Christopher Reeves? or one of the other two recent guys?

The sad part is you probably believe what you just wrote.

Those are direct quotes from you on the AT&T NSA data scandal. You attacked Gravitymaster calling him silly in response to him saying it was legal, just as YOU are calling this activity legal now. Your own words are right there. ^^^^^^

I oppose the Patriot Act, period.

But don't kid yourself that this is new. Warrantless wiretaps have been going on certainly since 2001, and probably long before 2001.

Buried within this new article was an interesting proposition:

"But privacy advocates also want companies to be upfront about what they charge and alert customers after an investigation has concluded that their communications were monitored."

When VIP's, business leaders or media darlings discover they've been targeted, then the sh*t might actually hit the fan?

The article is about the amount(s) charged by the telecomms to the public purse for surveillance.

He will avoid the question as always.
Admitting to it would cause a paradox.

Kinda like the old Star Trek scene where Spok says, "The following statement is true; The proceeding statement is a lie."
