kelpdiver 2 #26 August 7, 2013 rushmc It is an inarguable point that this country was founded on jewdeo- christian principals. oh, shit, starting with JEWdeo really sets the spidey senses off kilter. Quote I don’t think the gay marriage debate falls in this however. This, to me, is a manufactured issue to create rights. Marriage IS a religious union (for lack of a better explanation at this time) Pushing gay marriage is an attempt to attack religion. But, attacking the Christian religion is in vogue at this time and is acceptable. uh, 'religion' picked this fight when promoting the various "defense of marriage" laws. But then again, there are quite a few Christian churches that will marry gays. Are they a cancer on religion, then, destroying it from within? Or is your these statement just bullshit? And again, no new rights were created. Inequality was eliminated. Quote (an example would by how Sharia treats women, and this is not intended as an attack on Muslims) right after you wrote about abortion rights being a manufactured issue... kelpdiver 2 #27 August 7, 2013 wolfriverjoe Actually, we have laws that prohibit funding to governments that the State Department determines gained power through a coup. That "determines" part is critical because, in the ultimate political "do-si-do", they decided that if the State Department doesn't make any determination about whether it was a coup or not in Egypt (it was, IMO) then they haven't determined that it was, and funding can continue. Really. Well, really, that's the game that the current Administration is playing. That certainly was not the intent or spirit of the law, which I believe specifically meant to cover even the CIA sponsored coups. It apparently will require addition implementation to force the issue, though it may still be as symbolic as the War Powers Act.
DaVinci 0 #28 August 7, 2013 QuoteFunny because I am pretty sure that not even a year ago the GOP decided he was the best that they had to offer for the POTUS job. He was far from the best. He was the one that made it through the primaries. That just means that he appealed to more people overall, than was "the best". Plus the GOP didn't pick him, voters did. Honestly, the process has been picking some real idiots.... And when the GOP let the Dems make Romney's ability to run large organizations as a bad thing... The GOP proved to be idiots. That being said, for a Country that is in financial hardship.... A guy that has actually turned around large organizations should have been a plus and the ONLY reason I voted for him. Romney was a looser on every other issue.
jakee 1,500 #29 August 7, 2013 mpohl Muslim Brotherhood and GOP, United as One. Perfect! Who in the fucking US elects people like McCain? Democracy does not work. Because eventually we end up with the dumbest denominator... McCain visits Egypt, calls ouster of President Morsy a 'coup' Huh? You don't have a country indicated in your profile, is english your first language? Because unless it means something else where you come from, I don't see how calling a coup a coup indicates support for either side?Do you want to have an ideagasm?
