Really good reporting, since later in the same article they show a picture of the dog being led away from AF1 with the caption, "Ready to run: Bo, President Barack Obama's dog arrived with the first family in Martha's Vineyard for the President's vacation"

Apparently, the Osprey was not only used to transport the dog, but Secret Service agents and a few White House staffers. So it was more than just the dog.

The story wasn't bullshit. Didn't tell the whole story. My thing was - why are they using Ospreys? I am certainly hoping that there was some cross-training associated with it because I understand those birds are expensive to operate.

Admittedly - as I clarified after looking further it is neither "BS" as you thought it would be nor was it "all the facts."

I will stand behind this: an Osprey isn't exactly the most efficient way to transport a dog. Or really much of anything in a non-tactical setting. Then again, perhaps the President viewed the dog as expendable: the Osprey has a checkered safety record (one had a problem and made an emergency landing here in Fresno a few months ago). :oP
