Iran Nuclear Deal

Recommended Posts

I'm torn between:

a) The Israelis are bitching about it, so it must be a good idea.;)

b) (Conspiracy theory) The Israelis secretly like it, and are bitching about it just so the old Mullahs will approve it, (thinking Israel opposes it).

I cannot help but think that this nuclear deal will be about as effective as Clinton's deal with North Korea.

Then again, Clinton didn't have Stuxnet or other nasty bugs as leverage...

Anyone else think that this will work?

As an ardent supporter of modern nuclear power, I always thought it's ridiculous that anyone would expect someone to develop nuclear power plants but demand they not do fuel enrichment/reprocessing themselves. Just because we (the US) are fucking idiots and run our shit incorrectly doesn't mean everyone else should have to.

Hopefully Iran uses this opportunity to set up a nice stable environment with clean power output and efficient fuel recycling and reuse.

Hopefully Israel calm their collective tits and quit sword rattling like children.

Right around the time you complete your purchase of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Well, here's the list of conflicts in last 100 years where Iran was the aggressor:

Seriously? Do you not have the remotest idea of the link between Iran and international terrorism/middle east conflict over the past 30 years? Have you never heard of Hezbollah? Go online, hit the books, whatever, but educate yourself on the subject.

It's pretty similar to the link between the US and various other factions in the area, except that the US also has the temerity to go in and fuck things up under her own flag as well.

There are no good guys in that region, only varying degrees of assholes. The assholes in Iran seem less dangerous than the assholes in Israel, Saudi, or most of the other countries, though.

Just out of curiosity, how would you suggest Iran power their country and defend themselves against the ever-present threat of Israeli and American aggression?

(1) As to power, they can stop state-sponsoring terrorism, and then maybe they can be trusted to not develop nukes for OFFENSIVE purposes, or (almost as bad) to shield themselves from other states containing their state-sponsored terrorism and wholesale destruction of other countries, like Lebanon. Until then, they can go fuck themselves.

(2) As to your second premise, the foundation is fallacious, and based on mainly on your gut, punctuated by facts more twisted and spun-up than the lines on a badly-deployed Stiletto. Sure, I could explain at length, but the burden is not on me to educate you in detail; it's on you to hit the (e-)books and do the serious research yourself.

I have a cold; I'm going to bed.

Masterful play on Iran's part.

Iran goes into negotiations with an embattled US political party. Kerry needs something he can claim as a 'win'. What he gets is exactly what the Iranians offered two years ago.

Iran - promises to let inspectors see stuff. History tells us the inspectors will get to see exactly what Iran wants them to see. (ephemeral)

IC - gives sanctions relief for six months. (concrete)

In six months, Iran can claim they were completely transparent; the sanctions were always illegal; sanctions should be completely repealed.

Please bookmark this post and check it in six months. I'm not always right, but these guys are pretty predictable from where I sit.
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I agree with Grue - fact is only one country has used nuclear bombs, the other uses of nuclear is clean and re-usable.

Sigh. Silly on multiple levels. I say again: bone up on the subject. Speak from facts, not your gut.

Your statement is a joke, He makes valid points which you have nothing to say about.

The US supported OBL, and Saddam, case closed buddy stop thinking so emotionally not good for a lawyer to lose sight of the facts.

How many wars has Iran been in in the last 100 years? ONE

How many did it Start? NONE.

And it's as overly-simplistic and emotional an answer as Grue's is. Easily rebutted by the average high school student.

Are you drunk when you were writing this?

Your the one who seems to change your standards depending on who it relates to, that seems a lot more like play school to me.

See if you can set even ONE standard based in logic which the US is not a greater violator of?

Its like: the define what a terrorist is game i like to play with the brain washed we have here. Its funny watching them be unable to name one thing that the US hasn't done that the "Terrorists" have?

Kill innocent people: check
Use weapons of mass destruction: check
Start false wars: Oh wait that's US only check
Support terrorist organizations: check and double check oh wait triple check
Support humane rights violators: check

Your a lawyer, do you really see the world in your Black and white view where were the good guys in white and they are the bad guys in Black. Grow up buddy read something. :)

I think it’s great, and hope for even better relations like we have had in the past, but on an even playing field.

I still think Iran has the right to have a nuclear weapon. Nuclear weapon suck but I can’t logically how I can tell someone not to have what I have thousands of.

Also disgusted with Israel and how they are always anti peace, but then again nothing new from them. I am happy that thanks to the internet more and more people have seen Israel’s true colors so less people listen to what they have to say. Who knows we might actually get somewhere if we stop listing to the constant nay sayers.
