quade 4 #26 December 2, 2013 skypuppyYou obviously aren't very familiar with schools, busing and/or dismissal procedures in the current day and age. Maybe you should hang around a school at dismissal time for a week before you comment. "Obviously." Especially since I live a block away from a school and see it pretty much every day. Parents are horrible. Absolutely horrible.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
rhaig 0 #27 December 3, 2013 Having dealt with parents on some issues (as a scout leader) I agree... parents can certainly be horrible. But I wonder how the behavior in the car pickup line varies. My children's elementary school car pickup line exhibits none of the above referenced behavior. I volunteer at school regularly, and assist often with dismissal (specifically I'm out front working the car pickup line). Yes, the line is quite long. But I've seen no impolite behavior in the line from parents. It makes me wonder what factors lead to a more understanding parent population.-- Rob

That rather than "standing in line" he parked his car nearby and walked from there rather than wait. I'm not sure why your guess would be more likely but what's the difference? If he did park some where else, it certainly wouldn't have been in the line of cars that stretched a mile down the road. So he parked in a safe/leagal place or he parked in an illeagal/unsafe place. If it was a safe/leagsl place, I see no difference than walking from his house. The kids walking from school with their dad seems much safer than walking alone. Also, I would think that expediting the process of getting all the kids home would be to the schools benefit. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. SkyDekker 1,465 #29 December 3, 2013 The fact that some people are even saying, well we don't have the whole story.....is somewhat retarded. The guy is on foot, picking up his own kids. Release kids to parent, story over. The fact this is even a discussion.....
