Wow. A couple of those quotes seemed quite definitive. Then, you could look over at the politifact check and see that it was extreme cherry picking to the point where I would call it a blatant deception (lie).

Fits well with something my father likes to say; "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics".

I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

The President du jour always seems to be the best/worst due to the immediacy of their actions.

While I agree that the incumbent is on the short list for most incompetent Chief Exectutive, the fact is that he has strong competition from the other contenders.

Official histories that whitewash their actions and cult-like followings tend to blur the realities of various administrations. The fact is that we have been lucky to survive the tender ministrations of one President or another.

Revered though FDR is in many circles, the list of his official transgressions is exhaustive. LBJ, an epically mediocre mind, inflicted damage on the body politic from which we may never recover. Carter, bless his heart, made policy on the basis of an enviable level of naivete. "Reaganomics" was a study in innumeracy. Buchanan set the gay rights movement back by a solid century. Bush 43 was/is a national embarrassment, and gives frat boys a bad name.

Thus, though I agree that the narcissistic turkey in the Oval Office is woefully incompetent, he has serious competition for the 'worst ever' title.

I can't argue with anything you posted here. It made me smile.

Let's face it, the truly competent Chief Executives go by CEO and we can't afford them...if they were even electable. There may be a paradox there. The competent ones are un-electable and the electable ones aren't really competent.

True. And I believe if just as I believed anything else on that website. I use it as a third party fact check and, good or bad to my argument, use it credibly.

On the flip side, most of the conservatives on this website that bash it and continually say it's a far from truth liberal website..... well, you better not cherry pick this and run with it and then turn around and bash the site when it doesn't support your argument.

I don't know that I've ever looked at the site until this thread brought it up. But I think they seem pretty weak on their calls. They call some things half truths when I would call them a lie. But I have pretty strict standards. They clarify why they rate it the way they do, and that's sound. As long as they are consistent, let the chips fall where they may.

They are VERY liberal.
But sometimes the lies are so glaring, that you must give credence where it's due.

I read somewhere that the Chief Editor gave the staff a few days off for mourning the loss of the illusion.
