Channman 2 #26 January 10, 2014 I was twiddling my thumbs this morning...not sure why, but I was thinking maybe instead of pissing and moaning about a bible that cost $10.00 some here might find it more productive if they wish to help those effected by disasters to send their donations to "Humanist Crisis Response" It's the secular thing to do...and I'm sure it will be received with a smileRon and I can give our donations to "Samaritan's Purse" which I'm sure will be received with a smileIn the end, we all have made an effort to help those in need and that is more worthy than pissing on one Website which might be fun for the moment but in the end helps no one. If they ask for suggestions, then you can suggest something that's more useful, or be one of the organizers who turns it into something more useful. But Bibles generally go quickly when they get donated at the shelter. Which is good, as we get plenty (if we get 50 in, we don't put them all out at once -- that'd be silly, as then they would stay unclaimed). Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
