quade 4 #27 March 25, 2014 RonD1120************Some friends of mine, one a retired pastor, saw "Noah" and criticized it for not being Biblically accurate. The Bible itself isn't "Biblically accurate." Just read the first two chapters of Genesis. That topic was adequately discussed in the movie. I'm thinking the word "adequately" is being applied subjectively here. And objectively as well. The only objective fact is the two chapters contradict each other; beyond that is subjective opinion.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
tkhayes 348 #28 March 25, 2014 agreed, nothing is the bible is biblically accurate, given the number of versions of it that exist and the thousands of written interpretations of what it might all mean. "biblically accurate" is simply an opinion. and not worth its weight in anything
tkhayes 348 #29 March 25, 2014 we (Christians as well) poke fun at Muslims when they rely on Allah for guidance. "Allah has control!" - yes it is worth poking fun at, as is your patch as well. If your faith is so strong and your beliefs so fervent, then a little poking at you should be water off a duck's back I would expect. How's the missus doing....healing OK? Amazon 7 #42 March 26, 2014 Hey at least the Brits gave up on interpretations of Christianity that required them to burn people at the stake for heresy and or blasphemy for not believing the way that others in the clergy did. The way things are going here in this country I would not be surprised to see a resurgence of those time honored Christian traditions.

quade 4 #50 November 5, 2014 Yeah, actually it has WAY better numbers than I would have assumed before looking at the details. Made for around $2M with a USA total gross of about $60M. That's a financial success by any measure in town. Whether or not it's a "good" film is irrelevant at that point. Just like porn; if it makes enough money, it's "good enough." Contrast and compare to the ridiculously low ROI for the "Atlas Shrugged" series where they are a black hole of losses being financed by crazy millionaires with an agenda who don't care if they lose money. That said, it's still on my waiting-to-see list as it's not yet available on Netflix.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
