Boomerdog 0 #106 April 13, 2014 Hmmm.... The family claims to have documents proving they have a right to be on and using the land. There are unconfirmed reports that an overpopulations of the desert tortoise is resulting in tortoises being euthanized by the government. Apparently, this fight between the Bundy's and the BLM has been going on for 20 years. Why the govt. escalation with a bunch of snipers and other badges say...now! Perhaps because... The crony capitalism angle...Senator Reid and his son apparently have something going with ENN, a solar company from the People's Republic of China and tied to the People's Liberation Army desiring to put a solar farm on the contested land. Which seques into.... ...a few hours after this report about Reid's antics is released, the Federales stand down and leave the area...not to worry, they'll be back after Harry Reid hires some fixers to solve this immediate problem. Several militias from several states converge on Nevada...bringing their guns with them vowing to take a stand...with deadly force if necessary. So, we are supposed to be in the "enlightened" 21st Century and the same damn avarice, greed, tempers etc etc that we saw in the ranger wars of the 19th and early 20th Centuries are still alive and well. Seems we may not be that enlightened after all.

As far as the confrontation goes I agree with you but Here is a bit more if not posted up thread The BLM only took control of this land when the turtle was put on the endangered list. An area was created to help the turtle come back It has To the point they are getting out of the area and some are being euthanized The turtle is no longer in trouble So, why is the BLM still there?"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." Reid wants to get rich at some insignificant little rancher's expense. Now, all they have to do is get some spin doctor in there to white-wash the whole thing and Harry Reid walks away un-scathed. Just more government bull-shit. Proof again that our senators and congressmen don't give a crap for 'we the people', just themselves. Chuck

wolfriverjoe 1,523 #115 April 13, 2014 DanG I know I'm not supposed to attack the source, but infowars? Please. Well, come on. The Bundy ranch must be where they mined the materials to make the "nano-thermite." THAT"S why the feds want the land. They need to hide all the evidence. Or make more nano-thermite for the next "terrorist attack" that they are planning. Or maybe it's so that the Chinese can make nano-thermite for their next "terrorist attack." ryoder 1,590 #117 April 13, 2014 rushmcHere is a fairly good article tying things together along with a timeline of some of the events http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/04/12/The-Saga-of-Bundy-Ranch Pretty thorough article with documentation. And it also dispels the idea that Reid wants the land: QuoteDespite the obvious partisan gain to be had if Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s son Rory (a failed 2010 Nevada gubernatorial candidate) had somehow been involved in a “land grab” affecting the Bundy family ranch operation—the facts just do not pan out as such. Indeed, Rory Reid did in fact have a hand in plans to reclassify federal lands for renewable energy developments. Just northeast of Las Vegas and Nellis Air Force Base, plans were drawn by Reid allies to potentially develop 5,717 acres of land for such use. While it would be fair to claim that such activity was in Bundy’s relative neighborhood, the federal lands once leased by the family were more than 20 miles away, east of Overton, Nevada. skypuppy 1 #122 April 13, 2014 rhaig*** So how young should he be before we shouldn't ignore the problem and wait for him to die? Depends. Do the financial analysis. Which is costing more. Letting the guy rack up a bill, with fines and interest and when he dies take it out of his estate, or the constant legal battles and potential for violent confrontation. Take that over the remaining time of his expected life, and do the simple math. Which costs more? Or just shoot him now and take it out of his estate...If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead.
