"Sunshine is the best disinfectant." You know, as much as the Internet has enabled the propagation of douchebaggery, it does have its benefits. Seems nary a week passes when you don't see a story outing some local govt or school authority pulling this brand of outrageously oppressive shit. A lot of official assholery that used to go the full 9 yards w/o challenge a generation ago is stopped in its tracks nowadays thanks to stories going viral on the Internet. Good Lord! The kid is 17 and did a dumb thing so now, he stands a chance of paying for it the rest of his life? I say, the judge give him a good talking to and tell the bailiff (in the words of Cheech and Chong) "Whack his pee-pee!" The whole thing is lunacy. It would be interesting to know some of the dumb teenage stunts some of those lawyers did.
