Christian belief and values mostly. Paper work had more priority than the clients.

That's not a christian belief or value. It's actually very core to being a humanist (careful, you're one step away from being an atheist).

The attitude generally in mental health, homeless housing and substance use disorder programs is make the funding flow. Clients are a means to an end.

Let's take a very republican industry, defence. DO you think they are concerned with funding? Do you think they might use their clients to keep funding flowing?

But but but.. thems not entitlements.... our troops need all of that to protect us from evil doers. Nothing shouts freedom louder to evil-doers like a B-2 and a JDAM

Not wanting you to proselytize during work hours is a pretty universal desire, regardless of the industry. I wouldn't confuse that with being liberal. On the other hand, I've had only some contact with social worker types, in the context of the VA mostly, and although they certainly seemed pretty stereotypically liberal, I seem to recall a lot of Christian stuff all over their offices.

Again, that's not liberalism, that's bureaucracy. As someone else pointed out, regardless of the political bent of an organization, funding is the bureaucratic lifeblood.

In the domestic violence program, men were expected to be completely subservient.

So, am I to assume one of the Conservative values you wanted to express was man's dominion over woman? If so, I hope you can understand why that Biblical lesson might not comfort a battered woman. Can you help me understand why you think their viewpoint was an example of liberalism?

The idea that a program aimed at working with the fathers, teaching nurturing principles, was an anathema.

That seems very strange. Perhaps they thought you were trying to substitute nurturing classes for jail time, or were expressing a "boys will be boys" attitude?

Quote

I was a supervisor for the Crisis Response Team and my female manager refused to meet with me 1:1. Furthermore, she instructed my team to spy on me. They found that to be unethical and reported it to me. Eventually, I was forced to resign.

Do you think all that happened just because you were a conservative Christian?

It could also be that the director was resistant to change, and thought that things should stay as they were. The line between conservatism and resistance to change can vary from person to person.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

All in all, it was a tense period within the family and on the job. The Lord allowed me to experience this episode to prepare me for the next. He delivers us through not from. I am stronger and wiser now. I am better prepared for the work that is coming my way.

Not everyone gets to slide through live without stress. The ministry, my ministry, is for those who struggle. Christ came for the sick, the brokenhearted, the blind and the captives to bondage. Wisdom comes when you realize that you fit into one of those categories. If you don't see that now then you don't see it. If and when the time comes, the Holy Spirit will remind you what you have been told.
Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

Oh, it wasn't you bitching that Amazon never responded to your question about what liberals do to reach compromise? It wasn't your bitching that started this whole discussion?

That is your perspective. I was responding to regulator. I made a statement and I asked him a question. Please re-read.

My point, which you did not observe, is that liberals do not offer words of encouragement. IMO, they only attack. Do you understand now?

Not really, since your statement is demonstrably false.

But while we're at it, when's the last time the GOP leadership has offered words of encouragement to the White House?

You missed the part where Ron considered everyone else but him "left of center". Hence, the GOP leadership are liberals too.

He also missed the part where Ron said he didn't want to talk about it anymore since there was nothing in it for him.

That's so stereotypically Conservative it's almost ironic.

As I have stated before, I bought into liberalism until I realized that it is destructive. The real hatred of it came when I had to spend the last ten of my working years in a liberal environment.

Perhaps we could rephrase your .sig based on this thread:
Liberals sit around with good beer and tell jokes about conservatives.
Conservatives huddle in armed compounds and talk about their hatred of liberalism.

Do you want to have an ideagasm?

>Please, please run for President again, Michele. We need another Sarah Palin.

Of course, it goes without saying that the best possible Sarah Palin is Sarah Palin. Her rebuttal to a speech by Elizabeth Warren, in which Warren supports fast food workers striking for a higher minimum wage:

==============
We believe—wait, I thought, fast food joints? Eh, don't you guys think that ... they're like of the devil, or something? That's what ... liberals ... you wanna send those evil employees who dare work at a fast food joint that you just don't believe in, thought you wanted to, I don't know, send them to purgatory, or something ... so they all go vegan ... and uh ... wages and picket lines, I don't know, they're not often discussed in purgatory, are they?

I don't know, why're you even worried about ... fast food wages, because ...

Well, we believe ... an America where minimum wage jobs, they're not lifetime gigs! They're stepping stones!

Your one warning. Cut it out.

Why the warning? Truthful statements are not personal attacks.

Ron has shown himself to be hypocritical in so many areas via his own words here that a description of him as a "fucking hypocrite" is 100% accurate.

In other words, it can't be a personal attack if the phrase is an accurate description of the individual.
