wan2doit 6 #1 October 9, 2014 Sounds and feels good but is it really? At least one news source did some homework instead of reprinting proponent's propaganda for them. http://www.tampabay.com/opinion/editorials/times-recommends-vote-no-on-amendment-1-conservation-lands/2200609 Thanks again to whoever here educated me on how to do a live link. Please VOTE NO on Amendment 1 if you live in Florida - if not at least Vote.
cgriff 0 #2 October 9, 2014 That article was dead-on! Constitutions create, define, and restrict governments. They are not the place to stash laws, taxes, pet projects or anything else the weasels want to sneak through.

Floridians have long been adding obscure amendments to their constitution. For example pregnant pigs have protections dictated by the Florida constitution.Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! billvon 3,070 #5 October 10, 2014 Do you know what sort of majority it requires to amend the Constitution? (that's a problem in California - our Constitution is all screwed up partly because it requires only a majority to amend it.)
wan2doit 6 #6 October 10, 2014 The majority percentage to pass this amendment 1 in Florida I believe is 2/3 or 60% not perfectly sure which. Word has it that a recent poll reported 90% support it. Many many not so well informed folks in Fla but the campaign was very slick and smooth. The supporters don't feel a thing penetrating them YET.
