wolfriverjoe 1,523 #27 October 31, 2014 Channman Understanding or as you put it...the wiliness to listen to other view points so what do you say in regards to the following: Wendy Davis running an ad says Greg Abbott does not want blacks to vote. Paul Begala on CNN today makes a statement the "Democrats are in trouble in states where they hunt Democrats down with dogs". What the HELL, I've never known of any state that hunts Democrats down with dogs...I do remember in the past Democrats hunting African Americans down with dogs. In Georgia, Democrats are circulating a flier warning that the voting is the only way to prevent another Ferguson with two small children holding signs "Don't Shoot". So is it time the Black community begin to look elsewhere other than the Democratic Party, I think so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdTihf2_GGM I would say "it's interesting." And then I would ask for some fact checking. Because the little I did found that those are quotes from Rush Limbaugh's show. And that's the only place. The Paul Bergla quote seems to be from 2012, and is nowhere near what was originally said."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." SkyDekker 1,465 #28 November 3, 2014 QuoteSo does this mean you're willing to acknowledge that the current democratic party has done nothing more in regards to putting their party differences aside and working hand in hand with others to resolve issues together? I think both parties, for quite some time have fostered an Us vs Them mentality. Issues are decided, not based on what is good for the country, but based on what possibly damages the other party most.
SkyDekker 1,465 #29 November 3, 2014 QuoteAnd why do the Canadians, Britains, Scandinavians stick their noses in our politics? I don't know about you but, I don't give a crap about theirs. Because we can. It is like a trainwreck, you can't help but watch. And just because you don't give a crap about something, doesn't mean others can't. I mean you are following the legend of some dude who made a pretty decent political impact in the middle east. You want to stick too American only, find some native deity to worship. Anvilbrother 0 #30 November 3, 2014 That is the same way people usually vote also. Get my guy in there, get my party to the top of the billboard charts, ignore the actual job of running the country. rehmwa 2 #32 November 3, 2014 wmw999It's time for everyone to think about individual candidates and evaluate them before voting, rather than just depending on their party. Not just blacks, women, hispanics, Christians, etc. Those blocs' memberships overlap, and people should figure out what they individually value. Good luck Wendy - I advocate this consistently and the name calling that comes of it is painful at best. But I got your back and think your comment is great. ...
