Best analysis I've see is by Stiglitz (Noble laureate) here.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
Anvilbrother 0 #2 December 4, 2014 Cheap labor, hardly any EPA type regulations make for cheap factories, and large profit margins. Does that explain most of it? Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. brenthutch 444 #5 December 5, 2014 If kallend had read the article he linked to, he would have understood that your post was in agreement, but then again maybe not."Make no mistake: This is a geopolitical earthquake with a high reading on the Richter scale. Throughout history, political and military power have always depended on economic power. Britain was the workshop of the world before she ruled the waves. And it was Britain’s relative economic decline that preceded the collapse of her power. And it was a similar story with previous hegemonic powers such as France and Spain." We're still Number One in incarcerating our population, and the rate at which cops kill civilians is pretty good too.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. wmw999 2,452 #10 December 5, 2014 Bad boy!!! No biscuit for you Wendy P. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
BIGUN 1,319 #11 December 5, 2014 However, there was no factoring the 450 billion dollar trade deficit in the equation.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
gowlerk 2,207 #12 December 5, 2014 Why wouldn't the country with 1.3 billion people end up with a larger economy than one with 320 million? India will one day surpass the US in this number as well. They have to spread the wealth among a lot of people though. Doesn't leave too much to spend on their military. Don't worry yet America, you are still number one.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
