The Planet is not warming as fast as predicted, the oceans are not acidifying and now, the ice is doing just fine

A small step, at least - even the reps follow their own agenda:

http://www.news24.com/Green/News/US-Senate-Yes-climate-change-is-real-20150122

Of course climate change it real
That is what the climate does
The question is whether man is influencing the change to the detriment of us all
I did not see that in the vote anywhere
You?

Yes, it is like saying the ocean will have waves. It's the way things are.

Climate change is affected by humans. Also true, how could it not be.

The amount is what is under debate.

The attached link for watts up is why I like this site
Not so much for the point or conclusions the writer is making, everyone can draw their own conclusions from his post, but rather the comments and exchanges after the post. If people look into the site and find a post that is highly technical, it seems it draws more technical savvy posters. Anyway, this is good post too

From NOAA:
============
The average combined global land and ocean surface temperature for January–December 2014 was the highest on record among all years in the 135-year period of record, at 0.69°C (1.24°F) above the 20th century average.
============

From Yahoo News:
===============
WASHINGTON (AP) — For the third time in a decade, the globe sizzled to the hottest year on record, federal scientists announced Friday.

Both the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and NASA calculated that in 2014 the world had its hottest year in 135 years of record-keeping. Earlier, the Japanese weather agency and an independent group out of University of California Berkeley also measured 2014 as the hottest on record.

NOAA said 2014 averaged 58.24 degrees Fahrenheit (14.58 degrees Celsius), 1.24 degrees (0.69 degrees Celsius) above the 20th-century average.

Looks like calmer heads are speaking out
NOAA's alarmism does not even fly with those who agree that man is affecting temps

Quote

Peter Stott, Head of Climate Attribution at the Met Office, said: “Our research shows current global average temperatures are highly unlikely in a world without human influence on the climate.” Such attribution research is highly speculative and should have been flagged as such in a press release whose aim was the get the media to print a story suggesting that 2014 would be a ‘record’ year, and give them an explanation for it. As it turned out November’s and December’s HadCRUT4 data whittled away the chances of 2014 being a “record.”

In general the Met Office and before them the Berkerley Earth project were reasonable about the data in pointing out that a new record was not established unequivocally because of the large error bars that encompass 2014 and many other recent years. This is in contrast to the stance taken by NASA who proclaimed without doubt, and without even quoting the temperature and any error information, that 2014 was the warmest year ever.

I first found this on the Watts up site you hate
But it is here too

What a stellar example of playing the ball and not the player.

But really, who's watching?

Well, yes. "Could." That word. That's a nonprediction meant to sound like a prediction. No probability attached. I could write that NYC could be hit with a tsunami in 2017. Same thing. It's why I so dislike pseudoscience.
