kallend 2,026 #32 February 9, 2015 Rick... US Virgin Islands (St Thomas and St Croix) Foreign? Less foreign than Texas, I suppose. When I was there a passport wasn't needed to enter the islands, but it was required to come back to the USA?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. tigra 0 #34 February 9, 2015 I flew Iceland Air for my European adventure. We stopped in Reykjavik and deplaned but I think they just wanted us to buy sweaters at the duty free shop.
wmw999 2,439 #35 February 10, 2015 Yeah, that was my exposure to Iceland as well; I left it off my list Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

I've been to Iceland three times -- very much worth the visit if you ever get the chance. Fascinating place unlike any other. In total I've been to 14 countries, though many times as a repeat visitor. I'm hoping to see more soon -- next on the list is either Copenhagen or St. Petersburg. Canada (6x) Iceland (3x) Netherlands (3x) Italy (15x) Spain (2x) Portugal (3x) France* Germany* Liechtenstein (2x) Ireland (3x) Ukraine Israel Taiwan Vietnam * - being on the border by both countries, I run through them frequently so I've lost count. Garmin map attached :-) Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. TriGirl 318 #39 February 10, 2015 The more of these lists I read, the longer my list gets, since I remember more countries I've visited. Iceland was by accident -- well, avoiding an accident really. My Lot Airlines flight out of Warsaw was about 90 min into the flight when the passengers were informed we needed to stop in Iceland to check out an engine that had to be shut down. After about 15 min on the ground, they emptied the plane. When I left two days later, I saw the plane still there (obviously there really was something wrong!). We were all put up in hotels, so I got to explore as far as I could on foot. Gorgeous place! It may have been an accidental trip, but it made me want to plan a real trip there sometime. zoobrothertom 5 #40 February 13, 2015 Hey, Wendy. Here's am odd 'visit' for you. Has anyone ever accidentally visited a country? My first entry into France was an accident. I was driving from Germany to Switzerland and missed my southbound exit as I approached France. Next thing I knew I was flashing my passport and asking how to make a U-turn! ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

Being diverted is one thing, accidently driving to another country is a whole other subject. Driving south on 5 in San Diego, if you're not paying attention, it's very east to end up in Tijuana,.
