quade 4 #26 March 2, 2015 wmw999 In a world where Birdman can beat Boyhood for the Best Picture Oscar, anything can happen Wendy P. Little known and somewhat trivial fact lost on most of the general public, Best Picture goes to the producers. Academy members recognize this, but it's a seemingly trivial distinction with an actual difference. "Birdman" was more of a "producers" movie than "Boyhood" and that's why it won.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Since the congresman is from Texas.
jakee 1,489 #29 March 3, 2015 DanGI thought they were both good, but Boyhood was better. Look through Oscar history and you'll see a lot of years crying out for either a Boyhood or Birdman. To get both in one go is cause for celebration, no matter which took the gong.Do you want to have an ideagasm?

One comment about obama and suddenly its an obama thread yet jcalor can talk all the shit he wants about texas and nobody says anything. hypocrites. And if you'll take a breath and re-read jclalor's post #9, rather than just angrily pinging on keywords like a software bot and putting your dukes up, you'll see he wasn't "talking shit (much less "all the shit he wants") about Texas", he was saying that a it's a slam-dunk that a congressman from Kyle's own home state (which happens to be Texas), where naturally Kyle's memory is highly revered, would gain easy political capital from proposing this, regardless of its actual viability. Legislators do that all the time, when they propose feel-good things that are unlikely to happen, they're scoring points with their core political base. So the only thing he's talking shit is about a congressman's being a cheap whore. You know, the way pretty much all of them are.
