funjumper101 15 #1 June 3, 2015 How come the NRA has done absolutely nothing to help this man? Bryant Heyward appears to be a perfect candidate for the NRA to support. Here is a quote from the story linked below - "Bryant Heyward is a citizen of the United States who legally used a gun to defend his home from intruder who shot at him. While he followed the law and did everything right, he was shot by the police he himself called. His case represents a nexus of circumstances that should make the NRA immediately jump into action and turn him into a 2nd Amendment martyr." How come the NRA has done nothing? Make your best guess, before you click the link and read the story. http://theprogressivecynic.com/2015/05/15/the-silence-of-the-nra-on-the-bryant-heyward-police-shooting-is-deafening/

jgoose71 0 #3 June 4, 2015 This is a fun jumper post from an extreme left website (no surprise there...) but it is an interesting story. If you want an unfiltered sequence of events, here it is: http://www.abcnews4.com/story/29017320/hollywood-homeowner-shot-by-deputy-paralyzed-after-shooting-family-says A couple things, in the ambulance ride Heyward said that he believes the shooting was an accident. With that, some benefit was given to the police and that has the potential of slowing things down a bit. Also, this event just happened a month ago. Keep an eye on it. Let's see what happens at the 6 month mark. I have a feeling that there will be a rather large settlement coming to this young man. Even the police chief in the interview said that he had a right to defend his home. Either way funjumper's original article was an attack on the NRA with a lot of accusations of racism. More of an emotional plea designed to stir up feelings and remove all logic and reason."There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
