Anvilbrother 0 #205 June 19, 2015 QuoteRoommate Dalton Tyler told ABC News that Roof was “planning something like that for six months.” “He was big into segregation and other stuff,” Tyler said. “He said he wanted to start a civil war. He said he was going to do something like that and then kill himself.” Christon Scriven, a friend from a trailer park in Lexington, South Carolina, where Roof was a regular visitor, told the New York Daily News that the alleged gunman had outlined his horrific plans last week. “He flat out told us he was going to do this stuff,” said Scriven, who is black. “He was looking to kill a bunch of people.” Scriven said he and their other friends assumed he had been joking. “He’s weird. You don’t know when to take him seriously and when not to,” he said. These dudes here...... Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. GeorgiaDon 379 #206 June 20, 2015 RonD1120 The correct answer is...BOTH. Skyrad, who is I believe a Muslim, has provided scripture that teaches forgiveness and condemns vengeance and retribution. Perhaps you, being a good Christian and all, can provide us with scripture (preferably New Testament) that advocates execution by firing squad, death by anal sodomy, or any of the other courses of action proposed by yourself or other Conservative Christians in this thread. Well history of mass shootings has shown the people behind it usually had mental illnesses so I wil conceded that yes there are evil people capable of sane killings I guess, but these are facts here and it shows they usually are mentally ill. http://www.newsweek.com/charleston-massacre-mental-illness-common-thread-mass-shootings-344789 Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. RonD1120 62 #209 June 20, 2015 You left out: Romans 13 American Standard Version (ASV) 13 Let every soul be in subjection to the higher powers: for there is no power but of God; and the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Therefore he that resisteth the power, withstandeth the ordinance of God: and they that withstand shall receive to themselves judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. And wouldest thou have no fear of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise from the same: 4 for he is a minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience' sake. 6 For this cause ye pay tribute also; for they are ministers of God's service, attending continually upon this very thing.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.
RonD1120 62 #210 June 20, 2015 See my post #209 above. There are two different concepts at play here. The first is personal and spiritual. If a person harms you, the Christian, then you are instructed to forgive that person. If you hold a grudge and maintain the pain it will take precedence in your thinking. It will harden your emotions and make it more difficult to exercise your will to remain in relationship with God through Christ. In the second sense it is social and in the physical realm of law. Evil must be and is punished, even unto death, by the authority established by God for the good of mankind. I stand with lawrocket, there is mentally ill and there is evil. There is a spiritual world that advocates forgiveness and there is a physical world that requires punishment. There is always the possibility for salvation. Ted Bundy was executed for his murders but he died a Christian.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

Amazon 7 #212 June 20, 2015 RonD1120 I, being a compassionate conservative, call for the death penalty. Put him alongside James Holmes in CO and take them both out at the same time; use a firing squad, with .50 caliber rifles. I somehow do not think the Lord would approve... he has a rather different perspective.

Then it is terrorism or just plain evil. Your right the media does play those tunes, and it resonates with whatever viewership is watching it. airdvr 210 #225 June 20, 2015 kallend***Yea it sucks, but don't blame him he's the victim here. You respond to your environment, and yes the US is full of shit stains that would rather steal and kill than get a job and work. We were in the grocery store Tuesday getting food for the baseball game and when we got to the front of the store to check out there was about 9 cop cars everywhere. They had just been robbed. My house has been broken into 2 times in 10 years, and another time just the storage shed was pried open. The fire station where I work at was robbed once and computers were taken, and another station was held at knife point until the guys working agreed to drive the guy across town and drop him off. My inlaws were robbed by the home health nurse that was taking care of my invalid father in law. A couple months ago my coworker had his front door kicked in and tv and Xbox stolen. I can name dozens of other recent incidents. And this isn't even talking about the violent crimes and murders. Fortunately I live and work on the south side of Chicago, so I have no such problems. Still trying to sell that Bad Bad Leroy Brown address? Indiana is on the south side of Chicago as well. Please don't dent the planet.
