RMK 3 #1 October 19, 2015 This "bright spark" goes to a wild west shootout re-enactment and forgot to take the real bullets out of his gun. champu 1 #3 October 19, 2015 No argument from me that this guy wasn't a dumbass. Also, in a completely un-newsworthy series of events, I went to a range yesterday with a friend. We each shot a couple hundred rounds uneventfully (and my handgun doesn't even have a manual safety ) Afterwords we went to Five Guys which was, by far, the unhealthier of the two activities. RMK 3 #8 October 19, 2015 champu we went to Five Guys Ah we agree on both points. We now have Five Guys in London. First stopped in to see what all the fuss/hype was about; it's noisy, crowded, I'm in a long queue. I'm reading the menu board and see burger/fries/coke is going to be about £15 ($23) - damn that's expensive for a quick burger. However, admittedly not the healthiest lunch; damn they do make really good burgers & fries."Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

Yes, I think it is stupid to start randomly shooting at people when you are not certain your gun is loaded with blanks or not. That I agree with! A very basic safety standard was ignored/bypassed for expediency. The very same reason I had my one and only reserve deployment. But you try and paint gun owners under one viewpoint Should the same be done to all skydivers because I fucked up?"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." All skydivers, every single one of them is a dumbass because a guy low turned in a demo, and took out some spectators. DanG 1 #15 October 19, 2015 QuoteNo way in hell I would ever participate in an event involving pointing real guns at people and pulling the trigger. We did that in the Army all the time, but you needed a blank adapter in the end of your muzzle. If a live round were chamberd, the results would not be pretty, but it was unlikely the shapnel would travel too far. Also, the range safeties were hella anal about live ammo. If you got caught with a single live round, your career was fucked. - Dan G

I know a very similar set of rules we call "TABK". Treat every gun as if it was loaded. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction Be sure of your target and what's beyond Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. I agree that "T" and "A" were purposefully ignored. With real guns. Pretty damned stupid. I'd never participate or attend anything like that."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." A friend of mine built a 6.5 Grendel AR to hunt boar. I got a chance to shoot it at a range earlier this year. It's a nice platform. RMK Ah we agree on both points. We now have Five Guys in London.
