>It's interesting how many politicians have become rich because of being politicians.
>Sadly, it's become the norm.

It's really not. Most politicians make less than most engineers, for example. (Ask your local state representative, or deputy DA, what he makes.)

The ones we see often are the famous ones - US senators, presidential candidates and the like. Fame generally equates to money in the US. But it's the fame that gets them the money, not the fact that they have a government job as an elected representative.

Not entirely.

They tend to do really good at picking stocks. For some strange reason.

If you don't like the Huffington Post, simply search around. It was just near the top, there's lots of articles on it.

Again, you are looking at the top .1% of politicians in the US - the House of Representatives. (See below.) Do the same analysis on your state senate, or your city's elected officials, and see if it still holds.

You'd see similar levels of wealth and success if you looked at Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Tom Hanks etc. But if you concluded "therefore all actors are rich" you'd be drawing the wrong conclusion.

He's not explicitly endorsing anyone. Not even his home state Senator. That alone sends a loud enough message.

John Oliver was a guest on the Colbert show, and the story of the "Make Donald Drumpf Again" hats is hilarious: http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/watch-john-oliver-reluctantly-talk-donald-drumpf-on-colbert-20160315:D

Those thugs should be arrested and charged

Charged with what?

Disturbing the peace

Funny thing is, if these were tea party members going to Hillary's rallies, you all would be screaming that they be arrested

Hillary supporters would blame the protesters, not Hillary

Fact is, close to 100% of political violence seen in this country over that past 5 years are leftist Democrat supporters

Peace? At a rally where ten of thousands of people are yelling and cheering? DTP is a law in search of a crime. Once they are asked to leave, then they could be arrested for trespassing if they don't comply. DTP is bullshit.

Huh. I though you really hated it when people 'read your mind'. I guess it is okay when you do it to others.

And, for the record, I don't think protesters should ever be arrested with disturbing the peace. That would be anti-American.

If Hillary suggested that her protesters were beaten up, and offered to pay legal fees for beating her protesters, I'm pretty sure Hillary supporters would be appalled. All of the candidates have had protesters. None have advocated having them beaten or arrested. None except Trump.

Nice made up fact. Is the guy who punched the protester at a recent Trump rally a leftist Democrat supporter?

Sticking your middle finger in the faces of children while screaming obscenities is different than what was going on at the rally.

So you do not want to address the tea party protesters?
Ya, I get it....

Do you know what happened before that dude got punched?
I don't.

As for the political violence?

Lets see
Black lives matter
Occupy Wall Street

See any Tea Party violence? No

the protestors in Chicago are bought and paid for by Moveon.org by your friend Geroge Soros

Which is it, dude? Either you know what happened to get the guy punched, or you don't.

Many of the Trump "protesters" have just stood silently while he spoke. Should they be arrested for disturbing the peace? Should they get pushed around and hit?

So you do not want to address the tea party protesters?
Ya, I get it....

What was I supposed to respond to? I responded to every line in your last message except the stupid playground shit at the end.

I guess the Bundy Ranch and occupation of the Oregon wildlife office don't count.

The only person we are discussing who supports violence here is Trump.

Actually, if you listened to the whole conversation and not just the sound bite , you would know he is not

But in any event, I guess you support the Chicago thugs

Yeah, keep believing that.

So anyway, was the guy who punched the protester being led out by the cops in the right? Simple question, yes or no answer.

I'd say no.

>Actually, if you listened to the whole conversation and not just the sound bite, you would know he is not

Once again I am afraid I will have to post some facts; I know you hate that. All quotes directly from Trump:

"I want to punch a protester in the face."

" . . . The audience hit back. And that's what we need a little bit more of."

"Get him out. Try not to hurt him. If you do, I’ll defend you in court.”

"I’d like to punch him in the face, I'll tell you."

"In the good ol’ days, they’d have knocked him out of his seat so fast."

"I love the old days, you know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They'd be carried out in a stretcher, folks. Oh, it's true."

"So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of 'em, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise."

Will he pay legal fees for the man who sucker punched protester? "I've actually instructed my people to look into it, yes."

Well, yeah. But at other times he says he doesn't condone violence.

It's kind of like when little Jimmy goes to the Principal's office and says that bullying is bad, and he will never do it again.

RushMC would point out that Jimmy specifically said bullying is bad, why do you keep harassing him for bullying. He said he doesn't condone it!
