normiss 854 #152 August 1, 2016 I want to know why, during the outrage over Mrs. Obama's "sleeveless dress - gate" her arms weren't pixelated as well. Apparently it was more disgusting than these nekkies.

turtlespeed 226 #158 August 1, 2016 kallend************ Actual numbers, not guesses: money.cnn.com/2015/11/06/news/economy/obama-jobs/ Since President Obama took office, the economy has added 8.7 million jobs. And CNN isn't biased? Riiiiiiiiight. Tell us an unbiased (in your opinion) source and give us the number it states. There is none. Translation, turtle can't find any source that supports his preconceived opinion. Negative. It means exactly what I wrote. There is no unbiased reporting anymore.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

"Do you have any proof of your claim that all skydivers are really ducks?" "Of course not! Only an unbiased, fair reporter would report on that, and there are none." skycop 0 #160 August 1, 2016 https://www.yahoo.com/news/groups-affiliated-black-lives-matter-release-agenda-101916706.html And the hits just keep on coming............. Notice the perpetuation of a false narrative, and this paragraph is quite telling. "The group also is calling for the passage of federal legislation, already proposed in Congress, that would create a commission to study reparations for descendants of slaves" "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
normiss 854 #161 August 1, 2016 While I do agree the agenda that group presented is laughable in most ways, you should bear in mind the reparations promised were not delivered and were promptly replaced with Jim Crow laws to further prevent any reparations to freed slaves. IIRC, the Carolinas were especially defiant to any reparations way back when. In this day and age? I think any efforts in that direction would increase racism against black people, mainly because that's how racist whites would feel about it. The US Government has since apologized though, so we're good, right?
skycop 0 #162 August 1, 2016 The whole point is the group(s) still continue, along with certain complicit 24 hour new cycle outlets and social media, to advance things that simply are not true. They have been given audience at the highest levels of government, when in reality several facts as they present them are less than truthful. There is a difference between a dialogue and "demands", they don't work well together. Sadly, actual facts don't matter to these groups and certain members of the media. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
normiss 854 #163 August 1, 2016 Your first sentence clearly applies to both sides of this discussion.
skycop 0 #164 August 1, 2016 I disagree wholeheartedly, It's dialogue vs. demand, there are very few, if any media outlets in the LE corner nationally. These "demands" should not be given political consideration. If these groups were actually interested in solutions, they would take a different tone. Stories that make it past the AP level take a life of their own, and are not factual in many recent cases because very preliminary information is reported and is often inaccurate. Noise then fills the vacuum after that, the actual truth means little. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
normiss 854 #165 August 2, 2016 You're disagreeing on the issue I also said I didn't support. The noise from your side is equally meaningless for the same reasons.
skycop 0 #166 August 2, 2016 http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/policing-the-police/ If you have an hour, this is very interesting. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/policing-the-police/ It's a great example of over use, and misuse of stop and frisk. This stuff would never fly in the courts in our area, nor would it with LE supervision. But the crime problem is such that it makes our area look like a playground. They are, and have been trying to find a balance to fight crime there for 50yrs. If I knew the answer, I'd be a rich guy............ "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!" normiss 854 #167 August 2, 2016 As usual, another quality Frontline piece. Harassing poor neighborhoods is just wrong. "Certain skills" my ass. Walking away from cops? It's not illegal. Those types of cops are the reason people run, they're afraid of them. Still looks like most of the distrust is rooted in racism, having started there. As a nation, we have a lot of work to do with poverty, racism, and trust in our communities. Thanks, great piece.

skycop 0 #172 August 3, 2016 Here is the perpetuation of the false narrative, now she is a victim of "police violence". http://www.vox.com/2016/8/2/12353452/korryn-gaines-baltimore-black-women-police-violence?yptr=yahoo SHE HAD A SHOTGUN, and apparently SHOT AT THE POLICE while holding her child. The original story I linked is quoted, the same "police routinely kill, rape, and beat black women", along with references to Michael Brown in relationship to "police violence". These are perfect examples of how these narratives are routinely believed, when they are not truthful, and continue to gain traction from media outlets. If you have a gun, and point it at, or shoot at the police, there is not going to be a good outcome. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!" normiss 854 #175 August 3, 2016 That there are groups of crazy or odd people with an agenda in this country? Tons of them. Lots of different agendas for that matter. This chick was pretty much a domestic terrorist. There's a shit ton of interesting information on Twitter about her. The Sovcit movement or whatever they want to call it will create some significant battles for police forces, much more than angry black people (those with just cause as well as those with nefarious intent).
