***I don't care if you accept it or not.

Then why do you keep forcing it on me?

I wasn't aware that I was. When was the last time you were forced upon?

Whenever you speak about it.

That was what you meant when you said liberals were 'forcing' McCarthyism, Jim Crow etc on you, right?
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

It wasn't an enclave. It was just country. Now I'm in an enclave for survival.

And if a Hindi family moved in down the street I'm sure you'd invite them over for ice cream.

I see. Well you are probably going to have to learn to live with it. Unless of course you can change the rules for the SC.

The difference at university based liberalism is that I had to memorize enough of the data to pass exams.

Here you can simply not read my posts. And of course, if you do not reply to me I will not reply to you.

That is kind of silly. We all need to vent.

And if a Hindi family moved in down the street I'm sure you'd invite them over for ice cream.

That would depend on their motive for moving into this enclave. If they simply move up to live off of us because the city is experiencing SHTF that would not be good.

If they moved into the area with something to offer and were willing to assimilate to our culture they would most likely be tolerated for a period of time until accepted. If they wanted to erect a temple to Siva it probably would not go well for them.

All of this is conjecture because outsiders will quickly figure out that this area is Christian. Therefore they would look elsewhere. We are different. We are proud of our culture. We will defend our culture. We are happy to be left alone.

You liberals are always trying to argue on improbable circumstances.

Stay in your progressive liberal compound and you will no doubt survive. You might want to look at Selco's survival techniques for cities and urban areas.

Ron,
We respect your truths and enjoy reading your truths because you force us to look at the world from a slightly different angle.
You force us out of our own comfortable ruts.
And if Ron's truths make me uncomfortable ..... good on him! .... because Ron forces me to discuss the scriptures with friends and unwrap and examine my embarrassing memes/stereotypes.

One of the dangers of only listening to one side of an argument, is that one can get too comfortable in one's chosen rut. When I lived in Perris, California I was amazed at how shallow and short-ranged the news media had become. During my days off, I drove 90 minutes to visit a book store that carried: British, Canadian, French and German magazines that allowed me to expand my horizons beyond the LA basin. So it is not just hill-bullies living up some secluded valley how have a narrow view of the world.

Kind of like some of my conservative friends say the the Church of Jesus Christ has great diaster preparedness plans but theology unsupported by archeological evidence.

On a more personal note: if I may compare my life-style with Ron's. I sinned heavily (mostly with booze) between the ages of 20 and 40. Life got much easier after I quit drinking. The last 20 years of sobriety have been far more contented, healthy and productive.

The brightest of us listen to a variety of sources (including Ron) then decide which theory to believe. I may not always enjoy Ron's conclusions, but I enjoy the debate. If Ron's truths force me to re-examine your life-style, then Ron is doing his job properly.
Keep those opinions coming Ron.

***I can never understand why you cannot understand sociological concepts. People are not binary.

Yet you have no problem classifying people as either "us" or "them". That's pretty binary.

That is true. I thought that after I made my post.

I am truly humbled. Thank you for the validation.

When I first started regularly posting here my goal was to encourage people to think. Back in the early '70s skydivers were seeking to understand the New Age concepts of spiritual life. I dedicated my life to the search and found Jesus Christ. Nowadays it seems the iPhone has become more, no the most, important.

This from the guy who is living in an armed compound because he thinks that this is the End Times?

Yes, I suppose you have a point to make there somewhere.

So let me get this straight: you're pissed off that you had to learn about the reality of American civics in order to get a degree with a component of American civics in it?

I guess all those physics professors forcing Newton and Reynolds on their students and English professors forcing grammar on their students are in the wrong too?

I don't think an improbable circumstance is a Hindi family moving in to your neighborhood.

My progressive liberal compound is Richmond, Virginia. Before that it was Virginia Military Institute. You might say my compound has more conservatives than liberals.

The only reason I would have to worry about urban survival is because people like you have done such a poor job understanding the world around you that when you die you'll have left it in a worse place than how you found it. Your lack of humanity and understanding of the natural world has left you actually praying to be raptured before you have to face the consequences of your actions. The best case for the future is a fulfillment of Max Plank quote "A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it." My hopes and prayers are that enough of you die soon enough that those of us who are familiar with truths are able to save the world from the destruction you've created.

My, my such anger. You certainly have convinced me that I have made the right decision for my wife and I.

BTW, I didn't create the conditions in America. You give me too much power. I just react to it.

Who is more angry, the guy who lives in a diverse society like a normal person, or the guy who hates it so much he hides away in the mountains with his guns and his white friends, still bitter that he had to learn real american history in college 30 years ago?

I am not bitter about learning real American history. I'm bitter about how the progressive liberals want to remove the Christian foundation of our American history.

And don't even start on ... Arrhenius!

It's a nefarious plot!
