Obama's legacy

Recommended Posts

From that article (which it seems you didn't read) "The LFPR has been falling for a number of reasons including an aging workforce consisting of retiring baby boomers and growing numbers of young folks heading to school."

Yes, boomer retirement and millennials going to college, definitely Obama's fault. Trump will fix that - boomers won't be able to afford retirement with the GOP's social security plans, and kids won't be able to afford college under the new Sec. of Education.

This is fun :) I'm assuming you think current social security Ponzi scheme is working well.

And since when has a college education been considered affordable?

A college education was generally affordable for the baby boomers; certainly through the 70's. You had to sacrifice some, you might not go to a first-choice school, you might have to work for a couple of years or move somewhere with cheaper in-state tuition (and wait out the residency period), but it was affordable.

I put myself through private school then. I ate a lot of mac-and-cheese and drove hoopties and always had a roommate, but I ended up with minimal debt from a good school.

And now I'm unemployed. Of course, that's by choice; I'm a retired baby boomer, living off savings and a small pension. Eventually I'll apply for Social Security, but it's not my only expectation. I guess that means I'm contributing to Rush's unemployment numbers :S

You replied to a comment about the 'average voter' not about the election result.

More of the country voted for Hilary, get over it.

Not in dispute.

But more of the country voted for her. This is fact.

No
More individuals voted for her.

More states (IE: more of the country) voted for Trump
This fact is proven by the EC vote count.

No. Not 'IE'.

I don't recall seeing any states waiting in line to cast a vote. Or counties. Or forests. Or mountains. Or deserts. Or cornfields, Or rivers.

I only recall seeing PEOPLE lining up to vote.

"Government of the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE" seems to have got lost somewhere.

States are not equal portions of the country.

Now you are starting to get it!!!!!

Part of the reason for the EC!

Per the link I attached, Trump got winning numbers in 84% of the counties. Winning the presidency , in this case, with only 16% of the counties voting for you, is not possible and should not be possible if all the states are to be treated fairly. That is what the EC does.

In any event, Trump won under the rules that both he and Hillary ran under. Now, per typical crybaby liberal, many want to complain about the rules and say but but but.

I say get over it.

None of the reason for the EC.

Who cares? Counties are not equal parts of the country either. They're completely random and arbitrary divisions.

The smallest county in the US has 82 people living in it, the largest has 10,000,000. Therefore only a moron would think that it is at all important who won more counties.

In any event, Trump won under the rules that both he and Hillary ran under.
Sure, but that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about who more of the country voted for, and that was Hilary.

Correct. The people of the US chose her.

>More states (IE: more of the country) voted for Trump

Correct. The political system we have chose Trump.

And if CA is removed from the count. Trump won the popular vote of the rest of the country since Hillary won CA by 2.3 M votes

Very true! And if all the least-educated voters were removed from the count, Clinton would have won by a landslide.

So? Why would you do that? I'm pretty sure Californians are also Americans.

And why is only California on the table? If Texas is removed from the count Hilary won the rest of the country by three and a half million votes! How can you say Trump won most of the country when Hilary won everywhere but Texas with a three and a half million vote majority?:o

If Obamacare collapses before he leaves office, will it still be part of his legacy?

Obamacare has not collapsed. And the Rs are coming to see some of the realities of power. Meanwhile Trump is not even sworn in yet and he is already making BHO's legacy look pretty good.

So how is it looking now Brent?
