What will it take to "win" Monday's debate?

It won't be a debate. Debate has a specific meaning, and this will not be consistent with that.

Agreed.

If he can't debate her on the issues without resorting to this grade school bullshit he can't shouldn't be President, period.

If enough people like Ron and Marc Rush show up to vote, it's possible he could be elected. Stunts like this are just more evidence of the disaster Trump would be as president.

sure, because when i am deciding for myself who the best candidate is to lead the free world, 'bobble head mode' is the first thing on my list.....

bravo for your standards.....I guess?

Well, you would certainly be the one to know about bobble head mode. Birds of a feather?

Yet here we go

I realize Trump supports think this is the height of wit, but it is seriously some juvenile, unpresidential behavior.

When President Trump has a press conference with some foreign leader is he going to fly in an embarrassment from that leader past to rile him? WTF?

If he can't debate her on the issues without resorting to this grade school bullshit he can't be President, period.

but not this in regards to lib peeing pants in joy about Cuban's stance??

I realize Clinton supports think this is the height of wit, but it is seriously some juvenile, unpresidential behavior.

This entire campaign cycle is a goofy series of mirror on the wall accusations and slander:

Trump Rape - Hillary threatening Bill's rape victims
Trump University - Laureate University
Trump's scamming people - Clinton's selling influence
This embarrassing friend or campaign worker - THAT embarrassing friend or campaign worker

and then speaker's corner coming into this and rationalizing the claims on one side while taking incredible offense about the other - koolaid is cheap today.

etc etc ad nauseum

If that ever happened (which is unlikely) most of the media outlets the next day would declare it a total failure and instead run clips of famous Trump outbursts and Clinton denials. The NPR wonks would go on and on about the policy comments and the BBC would praise both candidates, but CNN, MSNBC and FOX would lament the lack of excitement, controversy and ratings.

Soooo.....what you're saying is..... the questions will likely be leading and leverage the mean spirited bumper sticker tripe we've been forced to ingest.....and just to try to get outrageous responses they can use to bump ratings, or even press whoever the moderators might be supporting?

that crazy - the media is objective and even handed and responsible.

(ratings go through the roof if Trump loses his cool, while Hillary has a brain aneurysm and rabid Trump and Hillary supportors attack each other with knives outside the debate site then....)

I'm still trying to see if Gary Johnson is having an on line session where he just answers the same questions... Can't find it yet...

Mark Cuban is currently making headlines talking about Donald Trump's lack of business skill. He's directly addressing the one thing that Trump says makes him a great candidate.

Gennifer Flowers had an affair with the other candidate's spouse thirty years ago.

False equivalency.

I'm starting to sense you're a repressed Trump voter.

so - you think anyone that doesn't walk step with you fits some predefined little box you've invented in your mind

it's nice when everyone is such a simple stereotype - much easier to dehumanize the others. Easier to count on votes from demographics and not treat individuals as individuals. pretty stock stuff. nicely played, right out of the rule book. I didn't think you were such a caricature of the cartoon of a liberal - you've been thoughtful in the past - but election years are the great equalizer.

I'm pretty much Libertarian, been very vocal about it for years here. If you think your image of everyone is more accurate than what they say and how they act and how they vote, then more power to you. It certainly makes the day easier. You and Funjumper can have tea together maybe.

Only four and a half days to Saturday. You can make it.

So Hillary bringing Mark Cuban is not a stunt then?

All things must be exactly equivalent if you want to be fair and balanced. If you have a 9/11 survivor on your show, you have to give just as much time and credence to a 9/11 Truther, or else you are biased. If you point out that some of the Truther's statements are factually untrue, that just proves how biased and non-PC you are.

If one person tries to sponsor a debate with a candidate by offering millions to his charity, and another person is someone's mistress from decades ago, they must be treated identically by the news media. Anything else would be the height of politically incorrect reporting.

I found it really frustrating to watch. What's the point of a debate if it's so poorly moderated?

High school debates are better chaired than this nonsense. If you stray from directly answering the questions put to you you get given a warning, then you lose your turn to retort. Period.
I don't think I saw one example where the candidates were forced to stick to the question, rather than go straight into their pre-planned jibes.

Completely useless.

Hillary won the debate. I watched for an hour then gave up. She is a politician and he is a businessman. He lost. For me the bottom line remains, I'm fed up with politicians.

I was excited to watch, but then didn't watch - that's how much I care. If God gives us the grace to make it past these next 4 years, then I have no more reason to believe that "the end is near" - and every reason to believe that we won't make this mistake again.

Hopefully we'll be able to get past these ridiculous issues designed to divide us and control election results.

Consider:

Quote

Only about 50 percent of Christians in America are registered to vote.

Of those, only 50 percent show up at the polls, meaning 75 percent of all Christians are not taking advantage of one of their greatest privileges.

If every Christian would register to vote and then do so, candidates who share their beliefs and values would win the presidency in a landslide.

I am distributing those flyers in my area. In GA, 11 Oct 2016 is the registration deadline.
