Hi rush,

And it seems as though you do not remember history. They were not investigating Nixon, at first.

And later, I remember seeing people driving around with bumper stickers that said "stop persecuting my president ."

>Trump Preparing Certified Letter Attesting to No Russia Ties

The letter has now been released. And it shows . . . over $100 million in income from Russia. At least, that's all they could identify - and they were very careful to note that some sources, sources "not identified as ‘Russian’ in your books and records and therefore not separately reflected on your tax returns" were not included.

So Trump received at least $100 million from the Russians and may have received more.

>‘Shattered’ Revelation: Clinton Campaign Hatched Russian Hacking Narrative 24 Hours After Hillary’s Loss

Motherboard, July 25, 2016: "Nearly two months earlier, in April, the Democrats had noticed that something was wrong in their networks. Then, in early May, the DNC called in CrowdStrike, a security firm that specializes in countering advanced network threats. After deploying their tools on the DNC's machines, and after about two hours of work, CrowdStrike found 'two sophisticated adversaries' on the Committee's network. The two groups were well-known in the security industry as 'APT 28' and 'APT 29.' APT stands for Advanced Persistent Threat—usually jargon for spies. CrowdStrike linked both groups to 'the Russian government's powerful and highly capable intelligence services.' "

New York Times, July 26, 2016: ""American intelligence agencies have told the White House they now have 'high confidence' that the Russian government was behind the theft of emails and documents from the Democratic National Committee, according to federal officials who have been briefed on the evidence."

NBC News, Aug. 30, 2016: "One official tells NBC News that the attacks have been attributed to Russian intelligence agencies. 'This is the closest we've come to tying a recent hack to the Russian government,' the official said."

Donald Trump (presidential debate, transcript via CNN), Sept. 26, 2016: ""As far as the cyber, I agree to parts of what Secretary Clinton said. We should be better than anybody else, and perhaps we're not. I don't think anybody knows it was Russia that broke into the DNC. She's saying Russia, Russia, Russia, but I don't — maybe it was. I mean, it could be Russia . . ."

Hillary Clinton (presidential Debate, transcript via New York Times), Oct. 10, 2016: "But, you know, let's talk about what's really going on here, Martha, because our intelligence community just came out and said in the last few days that the Kremlin, meaning Putin and the Russian government, are directing the attacks, the hacking on American accounts to influence our election. And WikiLeaks is part of that, as are other sites where the Russians hack information, we don't even know if it's accurate information, and then they put it out."

You can't make this shit up. The law firm who prepared that letter won the Law Firm of the Year award 2016.............in Russia.

I do wonder how much of this is a 6-degrees-of-separation sort of thing, though.

For a company as large as MLB it's likely that they've won an award in most countries if you look far enough back, or follow enough threads.

This isn't the sort of news that matters - it's a distraction from real, actual stuff and would only strengthen the 'it's a conspiracy against Trump!' crowd's position.

If it could be proven that the firm was chosen BECAUSE of some sort of Russian link that would be something else, but it won't be, so this shouldn't be anything other than a passing 'ha! irony!' soundbite. I hope the news agencies don't get distracted by this.

in case no one noticed, Clinton lost the election and in fact is NOT under investigation by any agency of the govt.

we are in fact talking about Trump, his campaign, and allegations of ties between his cohorts that received millions and millions of dollars from Russia, Russian officials, Russian businesses and other alleged laundering of money through Cypres and Ukraine, all while working for the Trump campaign and/or then becoming head security officials.

We know Hillary lost the election, I do not need to read a book about it.

Absolutely.

But, politics is all about optics and the optics on this are brutal.

in case no one noticed,

I think what this latest tangent shows is that Rush doesn't notice anything. Someone claims that The Russia tangent first surfaced after the election and he's so ignorant and oblivious that he believes it even though he spent months and months of last sumer and autumn with it being splashed all over every news outlet in the country.

So again, why anyone even others to try and have a conversation with him anymore is beyond me. You just can't argue with someone who will willingly block out reality in favour of the latest soundbite.

And given the fact that this is all driven by illegal leak activity and illegal unmasking activity it would seem, that those who intercepted and illegally leaked records would show collusion

Good news Rush! They found the leaker (see below.)

But yet, Trump is failing miserably you say? :D

Turns out he is quite good at this, at least.
