billvon 2,998 #2732 May 24, 2018 Today's evidence of collusion - Roger Stone actively sought out "dirt" on Clinton from hacker group Wikileaks while he was a Trump campaign adviser. Then lied about it under oath. Drip drip drip. ================= Roger Stone Sought Information on Clinton from Assange, Emails Show Ex-Trump adviser urged intermediary to ask WikiLeaks for specific dates of rival candidate’s communications By Shelby Holliday and Rob Barry Wall Street Journal May 24, 2018 3:50 p.m. ET Former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone privately sought information he considered damaging to Hillary Clinton from WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange during the 2016 presidential campaign, according to emails reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. The emails could raise new questions about Mr. Stone's testimony before the House Intelligence Committee in September, in which he said he "merely wanted confirmation" from an acquaintance that Julian Assange had information about Mrs. Clinton, according to the transcript. . . . In a Sept. 18, 2016, message, Mr. Stone urged an acquaintance who knew Mr. Assange to ask the WikiLeaks founder for emails related to Mrs. Clinton’s alleged role in disrupting a purported Libyan peace deal in 2011 when she was secretary of state, referring to her by her initials. “Please ask Assange for any State or HRC e-mail from August 10 to August 30--particularly on August 20, 2011,” Mr. Stone wrote to Randy Credico, a New York radio personality who had interviewed Mr. Assange several weeks earlier. . . . In another email, Mr. Credico then asked Mr. Stone to give him a “little bit of time,” saying he thought Mr. Assange might appear on his radio show the next day. A few hours later, Mr. Credico wrote: “That batch probably coming out in the next drop...I can’t ask them favors every other day .I asked one of his lawyers...they have major legal headaches right now..relax.” ===================
billvon 2,998 #2733 May 25, 2018 QuoteThe FBI had a mole in the Trump campaign well before the election, spying on things. Stefan Halper. And it's coming out he was paid handsomely by the Dems. It's going to blow the investigation WIDE OPEN! Mueller is FINISHED! The truth will be REVEALED! Turns out . . . not so much. Even Republicans still support Mueller, and nothing in the recent briefing has changed that. Looks like another Pizzagate. ================================= McConnell Says He Supports Mueller Investigation May 24, 20184:07 PM ET Claire Harbage/NPR Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told NPR in an interview that he continues to support the Mueller Russia investigation — and that nothing in Thursday's hotly anticipated secret briefing on the Russia probe to congressional leaders changed his mind. "The two investigations going on that I think will give us the answers to the questions that you raise — the [inspector general] investigation in the Justice Department and the Mueller investigation," McConnell said. "I support both of them, and I don't really have anything to add to this subject based upon the Gang of Eight briefing that we had today, which was classified." McConnell spoke with NPR immediately following a classified intelligence briefing from law enforcement and intelligence officials. The Gang of Eight — a bipartisan group of the four top congressional leaders and the four bipartisan leaders of the House and Senate intelligence committees — met with representatives from the Department of Justice and the FBI to discuss materials regarding a confidential FBI source who met with Trump campaign officials. McConnell has remained the most prominent congressional Republican to defend Mueller and his investigation amid a concerted effort by Trump and conservative supporters to discredit that investigation. The president has accused the investigation of being a partisan "witch hunt" and the investigators of being "conflicted." There is a hashtag devoted to what the president and his allies are calling "SPYGATE" that the president himself is using. Trump boasted that it "could be one of the biggest political scandals in history!" =========================================

billvon 2,998 #2738 May 26, 2018 I've definitely noticed a pattern with the Trumpies here. There will be weeks and weeks of steady progress by Mueller and ineffective leadership by Trump, and they won't post much. Then the latest Pizzagate will be announced with much fanfare by Fox and Friends, and Trump will see it and tweet about it. And that will get his supporters all aroused, and they'll make a spate of gloating posts about how "now the TRTHU wll come out!" Then it's revealed to be another misdirection and they'll stop posting for a while again. You can almost track the state of the latest Pizzagate by the frequency of posts made by some posters here. billvon 2,998 #2749 May 28, 2018 Now that the latest Pizzagate has gone down in flames, republicans are casting about for something - anything! - to distract his dwindling base from Mueller's steady, effective progress in his investigation. Well, there's one thing that's a sure-fire winner any time of the year - an attack on Hillary Clinton! And with a little help from Trump, FOX News is off to the races: ===================== Trump: Obama 'did nothing' on 'so-called Russian Meddling' because he thought 'Crooked Hillary' would win By Zoe Szathmary, Joseph Weber | Fox News President Trump on Sunday blasted former President Obama and his former political rival, Hillary Clinton, claiming Obama “did nothing” to stop the so-called Russian Meddling ahead of the 2016 election. “Why didn’t President Obama do something about the so-called Russian Meddling when he was told about it by the FBI before the Election?” he asked. Trump continued, “Because he thought Crooked Hillary was going to win, and he didn’t want to upset the apple cart! He was in charge, not me, and did nothing.” The president’s remarks came several hours after he lashed out at special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe on the social media platform. “Why didn’t the 13 Angry Democrats investigate the campaign of Crooked Hillary Clinton,” tweeted Trump, in an apparent reference to the courtroom drama “Twelve Angry Men.” “Many crimes, much Collusion with Russia? Why didn’t the FBI take the Server from the DNC? Rigged Investigation!” Trump tweeted minutes after personal attorney Rudy Giuliani told “Fox News Sunday” that Mueller’s team investigating Russia meddling in the 2016 presidential race had 13 Democrats, and said it was “rigged.” ========================
wolfriverjoe 1,523 #2750 May 28, 2018 Well, it's rather amusing that Giuliani has said that he won't let Trump answer Mueller's questions unless they (Trump's team) get to see the info that Mueller has. He's calling it a 'perjury trap'. Which seems to mean that Trump has told so many lies that he can't remember them all. And can't remember the truth either. So he wants to see what Mueller has for info so that he can tell the 'right' lies. Because, apparently, Truth is Relative."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
