I think the media could do the country a service by speaking about what the process of impeachment actually is, what treason is etc.

The country is dumb enough to not understand any of it.

People screamed treason for Hillary without being able to name a deed that was committed that met the standard fo treason.

Likewise, anti-Trump movement is asking for impeachment without understanding even what meets that standard. Most people connect it with 'committing a crime', which is not the standard at all. All you really need to have is a level of dosregrad of respect of the office and demonstrate that you are careless even to get thrown out.

I really doubt that any congress is going to impeach Trump until they get their legislative agenda passed into law, then they could give a shit. This in itself could take a very very long time, given their inability to pass any effective legislation already, especially on the major issues, like helathcare and budgets, TBD.

And the impeachment itself could take 2 years or more. Get used to Trump being our -child-in-chief for some time yet. Glad to see other world leaders are stepping up to run things in light of his inability to do it. America first, america alone.

That's pretty much....it. When the republican party sees strong indications about midterm elections. They adopted trump and they can dump trump. trump's baggage accumulates as each week goes by.

They have a legislative agenda and they need to get busy on it setting distractions aside. Its not getting easier. They see the polls. They know how many messages arrive at the office each day about the president.

At some point, its time to hit the lifeboats and let the Titanic trump go down. In the meantime the trifecta of legislative power is in effect. They will try to use it.
