billvon 2,995 #1 July 20, 2017 I marched in the San Diego Pride Parade with my company last weekend. Some pictures are below. It was a record year for San Diego pride - over 100,000 people showed up to see over 200 groups march. This year my company did a float complete with DJ to play music during the march. Was cool to see so many people involved; even the police got involved. We got the inevitable protesters, of course. They told us not to engage with them, but we got stopped right across from them and we sort of couldn't help ourselves. "You're all degenerate sinners!" the guy with the megaphone would yell at us. "Yaay!" we'd yell back. "We're not going away! You can't make us go away!" "Yaay!" "You're cheering now but you're not going to be cheering when you are stood up for judgment!" "Yaay!" He got pretty mad. We were followed by a . . . thing that was interesting. Someone took a Toyota Tercel, cut it in half, put the rear wheels in front on a frame, and built a trampoline/DJ booth/insect. People would dance on the trampoline and the DJ would play dance music for them. I was impressed by all the work that went into it. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
