rushmc 23 #128 August 28, 2017 wmw999Ok, this is tacky. A. Marc, you've become a caricature of yourself. That's a shame, because you used to (and occasionally still do) contribute valid counterpoints. Now it's just talking points, with no meat behind them. B. Everyone else: he's been here for over 15 years; before the Russians got into trolling. Making fun of people was wrong in middle school. Maybe ignoring is better. Ignoring content-free stuff has reduced my irritation level (and my participation level...) at SC. You may be right about me to a point. But, I have become tired of the insults by those who are allowing themselves to be lead around by this hate Trump media. And you know what is really sad? It would be nearly the same no matter what republican might win the presidency. It is who they are and what they have become. It is identity politics. This is a concept that you cannot seem to get straight. trump IS NOT a Republican. Both the two Bush presidents never voted for him. Many republicans never turned out for the vote because of who trump is. What he stands for. Every day republicans have to calculate the chances of success in getting tax reform passed vrs the baggage that gets piled on every day to the republican plane because of trump. Come midterms there will be racism, Russia, and 50 other scandals that keep the republican plane from getting off the runway because of all the trump baggage. No its not Dems. vr Republicans. Its trump vrs. the electorate. https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/11/where-republicans-stand-on-donald-trump-a-cheat-sheet/481449/ US corporations have had their equity priced to perfection in the stock markets. All based upon what republican control of government has the possibility of achieving, re tax reform. If trump can't move it forward he will blame it on McConnell and other leaders, instead of himself.

Agreed. =========== Trump talks of battle — in Afghanistan and against his party's senators David Lauter LA Times Aug 28 2017 For President Trump, Afghanistan and the Republican party both represent conquered territory, neither of them subdued. This week opened with the president renewing America’s war in central Asia, taking the rare step of publicly admitting that he had changed his mind and accepting a decision that went against his instincts. Perhaps that feeling of being pushed into a corner influenced what came next: On Tuesday, Trump went to Phoenix and tossed aside the advice — and the text — he had received. In his speech, he escalated that other war he faces, the one against the party that he conquered, but never fully subdued, in last year’s election. ================ Trump slams GOP leaders on border wall, debt limit, health bill Sharon Huff | August 28, 2017 | Registrar-Journal The New York Times reported on Tuesday that McConnell and Trump were locked in a political "cold war", especially after an August 9 phone call that it said devolved into a shouting match. The idea was floated in July but never gained steam in Congress. "We will pay our debts and we will make the debt limit", he said. Democrats are uniformly opposed to Trump's wall and say any blame for a shutdown would rest exclusively with Republicans. See: Trump Today: President blames McConnell and Ryan for debt ceiling 'mess.' Trump's constant fights with Republicans have led some analysts to suggest that he be viewed primarily as an independent actor, altogether separate from the party. ============================== http://registrarjournal.com/2017/08/28/trump-slams-gop-leaders-on-border-wall-debt-limit-health/
