A few good things to come out of Charlottesville

Certainly not Trump supporters. Remember when NPR tweeted the Declaration of Independence and Trump supporters thought it was an anti-Trump political statement?

You are losing this one, badly. I'd suggest you quit while you are behind.

Ya, and the New Black Panthers initially supported Obama until they realized he was just another puppet. . .

Same thing will happen with the KKK. Even Duke already said that Trump better recognize.

Ultimately, Trump doesn't mind being a puppet as long as he gets to have his rally's explaining himself and saying whatever the fuck he wants.

The last two speeches prove that. . .

***I suppose another good thing is the tearing down of those memorials that were put up by racist, anti-integration, KKK member Democrats so many years ago.

I mean who want to know the real history of this country anymore anyway?

Does it make you feel better that it was Democrats who were on the wrong side of morality 150 years ago, 100 years ago, and 50 years ago? That's just fine, let's more along.

It the Democrats who have a problem with that. That is why they keep trying to re-write history and project their shortcomings on someone else.

Hi rush,

Quote

Which party had a US senator that was a klansman?
Which party had a state gov that stood in the door of a school and said no integration?

That is on par with what I did in the back seat of a car at 17 defines the person that I am now.

What party is providing the most support to the KKK today?

Jerry Baumchen

Hi Jerry

So, the Democrats were in power for what, 40 years?

How many minorities got helped?

NONE!

They need a class of people who think they are helping them. For votes, nothing more. They do not give a damn about anyone but themselves. Just look at the racists, homophobic, misogynic emails from the DNC that wiki provided for us.

they have not changed

and you know it

and the grand leader of the KKK in CA supported Hillary.

Yet not a word.

Nope, not losing a think Bill.

But it is fun coming here once in a while and watch all of you spew the crap coming from CNN et al daily.

I do not even need to come here anymore to know what you are posting.

All I need to do is read two paragraphs from CNN and I know exactly what you told to think today.

No Bill, the media and the Dems are losing. Identity politics does not work the way it used to. That is why you and others dislike on line and cable medial sources. You no longer have a monopoly.

I AM posting nonsense?

The history was re-written to depict the Confederate leadership as kindly people just standing up for their states. That's a huge crock of shit. Tell me again how history is being re-written by Democrats. I listen to conservative talk radio every morning and evening and I know the talking points about which party is at fault for maintaining slavery, Jim Crow Laws, etc. If your party is against those things so much then why are you being so resistant?

Did you even read it to the end?

""Based on his past statements, it doesn’t appear highly credible that he has changed his effusive allegiance to Donald Trump,” Brian Levin, a former New York police officer who is director of the Centre for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University in San Bernardino, told the Telegraph. “The timing seems suspect. I think this is a function of not wanting to undermine the Trump campaign.” "

Ok, but that is not what I am talking about Tell me again how history is being re-written by Democrats. The Dems did not end slavery. The Dems did NOT support equal rights. More republicans voted to correct way than did Dems but a fair margin I listen to conservative talk radio every morning and evening and I know the talking points about which party is at fault for maintaining slavery, Jim Crow Laws, etc. If your party is against those things so much then why are you being so resistant?

Resistant to what?

Of course
Excuses excuses.

Just like normal
It is different if it involves a Dem.

It is damning if it involver a Republican.

Same normal bs

You talking about Quigg? From Snopes:

"So while it’s true that The Telegraph reported (and other outlets disseminated) Quigg’s claim that the KKK was now supporting Hillary Clinton and had donated $20,000 to her campaign, that assertion was widely deemed not to be credible by sources familiar with such groups. Moreover, Quigg neither presented proof of his claims nor discussed them seriously."

So he was lying - which makes him a perfect Trump supporter.

What's he done since then? Stabbing people and going to Trump rallies. Perhaps choose another hero?

California KKK leader arrested in North Carolina stabbing before pro-Trump Klan parade

LA Times
James Queally
Dec 6th 2016

The California Ku Klux Klan leader who led a “white lives matter” rally that erupted in violence in Anaheim this year was arrested last week in connection with a North Carolina stabbing hours before a Klan parade celebrating Donald Trump’s election, authorities said Tuesday.

. . .

Hill said many Klan members had traveled to North Carolina to participate in the pro-Trump rally. Hagen, who also goes by the name William Quigg, often travels to attend Loyal White Knights rallies and was spotted at a white supremacist gathering in Georgia this year, she said.

But by all means keep right on digging. Perhaps you could whine that Clinton is GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY! again.

>Nope, not losing a think Bill.

You lost that a while ago!

>No Bill, the media and the Dems are losing.

This nonsensical question?
Really?

If I had to answer I would say neither.

To answer otherwise is dishonest.

In the not too distant past the KKK was the militant arm of the Democratic party.

KKK Bird, a Dem senator from not too long ago had high ranking in the KKK and the Dems did not care.

Gov Wallace , a Democrat, stood in a school door to try and keep schools segregated.

Democrats resisted the civil rights for Blacks but some of them voted the correct way after being drug in by the Republicans.

Al Gores father is an example of this.

Got any other questions?

Of course you did. They have an uncomfortable way of debunking "alternative facts."

Since you stopped there, you missed how the same guy was arrested for stabbing someone just before going to a pro-Trump rally.

Great heroes you have.

There are only two parties for KKK members to belong to. They are far more likely to be Rs than Ds today. Neither party offers any official support to the Klan. There are individuals within the R party who quietly do support them. That does not mean the Party supports them. It is important for leaders of both parties to loudly and forcefully work to send them back into the dark places they came from. The current POTUS, and some of his supporters are failing in this duty. For the most base and crass of reasons. They feel they can get votes from them by tolerating them. When you are as far out there as the KKK, tolerance from anyone with power is the first goal. Now that they can feel they are reaching that goal, God help the USA if they are able to start working toward their next goals. And that is why they need to be ground to pieces under the heels of those in control.
Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

White supremacists and neo-Nazis are praising Trump’s "honest" Charlottesville comments

David Duke, Richard Spencer, and others are tweeting their praise for Trump’s latest statements on the “Unite the Right” rally violence.
Updated by Abbey White
Aug 15, 2017, 7:10pm EDT
VOX

Just a day after President Trump issued a prepared statement condemning extremists and racism, he pivoted once again, coming to the defense of those who protested the removal of a Confederate monument in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend at a rally that turned violent. . . . .

Just as Trump’s comments have changed, so have the reactions of leaders within the alt-right, white nationalists, and white supremacists such as former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. After initially scolding Trump for his tweets holding far-right extremists accountable, he congratulated Trump Tuesday for his “courage to tell the truth.”

This country fought a war for it's independence and won. It led to two wonderful documents, our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Take a minute and look at these documents like fine articles of clothing, like a tuxedo or a evening gown. I sometimes go to the gym and workout. If I come home, put on a tuxedo, and sit next to you, you will likely say, "You look very nice, but you stink!" How do I respond? I can tell you to hold your nose. If you hold your nose, you won't smell me and I will still look nice. Or, I can take off the tuxedo and take a shower, then but the tuxedo back on. Maybe what we have is a big chunk of America willing to hold their nose and another chunk of America that says we need a shower. Individually speaking, I would like to see America take a shower. If you do want to hold your nose, it's not ok for you to hold mine too. If you stink, I will tell you, for your good and mine.

I wonder how you would be as a politician in Europe. Angela Merkel says something you don't agree with. You respond, "But you people were all Nazis! Your country, your cities were full of Nazis!"

And anything Merkel says, you reply "But ... Nazis!"

Um, ok, Nazis were around at one time as an organized force. Although basically no living politician was one, and Merkel's Germany doesn't support Nazi ideology at all.

So your answers wouldn't relate in any way to the present or help move anything forward, and would just be blindly obstructionist.

(So if you want to mention Dixiecrats as a history lesson, fine, but it has basically nothing to do with the current political situation.)
