A few years ago, he was sitting at a truck stop coffee counter with a driver who was a Ku Klux Klan member. Murphy asked the other driver if he listened to NPR. “He said, ‘Oh god, yeah, ‘US Jews and Girls Report.’ I said, ‘Well, what do you mean?’ He said, ‘Well, all the commentators are Jews … and they’re always talking about women’s issues. It drives me crazy.’” “And I said, ‘Well, so why don’t you stop listening?’” Murphy continued. “And he says, ‘I can’t, because it’s the only station that will go on mile after mile and I can pick it up again.’”"There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. gowlerk 2,192 #2 August 22, 2017 Nearly always down at the low end of the FM dial. I listen on Sirius mostly. But Morning Edition and All Things Considered are not on satellite. You have to get them from the local station. I then stream it on my phone.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free. Because it isn't ratings and revenue driven, it's just about the least biased out there. Although I have to admit that the political crap has pushed me to stop listening to ME and ATC for the most part. Most other national news too, not just NPR.
