National Anthem Protest

>when the executive branch of the federal government puts pressure on private

Yep. Imagine if Obama had insisted that bus and train companies refuse service to Tea Partyers, because he thought they made other passengers uncomfortable.

He did that with the IRS

Rush, what would be your reaction if Obama told private businesses to fire employees who weren't in line with his political statements?

Take a hike
But he can say what ever he wants too.

Does not mean he has a right to be heard.

Now, how does that fit in here?

>The whole stunt with Mike Pence cost us as taxpayers quite a lot of money.

Looks like several government groups are starting to look into these sorts of egregious abuses of taxpayer money. From WaPo:

========
Inspectors general have opened at least five investigations into charter or military flights by Cabinet officials amounting to millions in federal spending. Their decisions to veer away from cheaper commercial flights have led to criticism from Democrats in Congress and government accountability groups about a culture of entitlement in Trump’s administration.
========

Trump's people, filling the swamp with ever more taxpayer cash. But hey, they're entitled.

Only the idiot In Chief could change the dialog. From what was originally.

-police brutality against blacks
-to national anthem protests
-to its about disrespect for the US military
-to its disrespect for the flag

One concept that trump has nailed down is distraction.

Robert Mueller has a duty to crack the whip on his group of 16 prosecutor-investigators.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has explicitly stated an intention to re-write the tax code in order to target a specific organisation which is acting counter to his personal view on what is Politically Correct.

Who knows what the NFL will do, but the Dallas Cowboys already have their own rule. Kneel and you don't play.

Yeah, so when we see the Cowboys' players stand up for the anthem because they're being forced to, we'll know that they really do respect it. Wait, what? :D

15 yard penalty and loss of down?

Who knows what the NFL will do, but the Dallas Cowboys already have their own rule. Kneel and you don't play.

And they're allowed to do that.

It'd be interesting to see what happens if players keep kneeling... I'm betting it wouldn't take too many forfeited matches due to too-few players for them to revise their policy.

What's going to be worse for their bottom line? Allowing players to kneel during the national anthem and losing a few fans, or not playing any matches?

I guess we will get to see whether the NFL has any courage, or whether they are politically correct wimps. I would guess the latter, but we will see.

Being a politically correct wimp means you kneel.

and yes, we will see.
