Just like many of us here I only knew Shannon through these forums but when after a few days off I logged in I just let out a shriek and a day later I'm still in shock.
She made these forums a better place.

I never got the chance to meet Shannon. But she was definitely someone that I looked forward to meeting someday. Just by seeing her personality on here I know that we would have been friends.

Bob, I'm so sorry for your loss. Jeff and I have been thinking about you a lot lately.

I met Shannon at both of Dublin Boogies. She and Robby teased each other online quite a bit. I would come home from work and he would crack me up with the days events, emails, pms and postings that everyone had grown to appreciate and many will miss...

At Dublin this last year Shannon had just gotten to the boogie and found the seal on her rig broken compliments of the airline. I walked up to her and said "Hey Shannon". She looked at me and said, "And who the fuck are you????"

I don't why that stands out in my mind...it just makes me laugh and smile when I think about it. Knowing people online and then meeting them in person is always a treat and Shannon was a delight. She was so freaking cute in that hat and boa too!

Even though I'm out of the country right now I'm sending major vibes to Bob, to her family and to this community.

Wow this fuggin sucks, since I took a break from jumping I basicaly quit posting here but always lurked. I never got a chance to meet her in person but for whatever reason me and shannon always Pm'd back and forth on here late at night when not many people were awake...I just looked at some of her messages i had saved and it's too hard to make sense of this.....she will be greatly missed by many I'm sure.

I have watched the outpouring of love for Shannon. And the wonderful memories you all have.
I did not know her, nor had a PM. But her posts kept me very entertained. My heart aches for all of you, her family and fiance. She was obviously an incredible woman!
And I think, if you listen closely...she's saying this to you now...

Oh dear. My deepest condolences. i've been away so long. Just before logging on here, I sent her a pre-birthday wish on myspace. I'm saddened so much that she will never recieve it.

THE MICROCSMS OF THE UNIVERSE

He can feel the plane bank as it makes the final turn to jump run
such a familiar feeling, yet always unique
he's felt it hundreds, thousands of times
and every time that it is a mingling of exploration and experience

The door opens, the only sensation noticed is the cooling
as sweat evaporates from under his clothing
the engines' whine and the winds whispering roar
are merely the clanck of silverware at a restaraunt
the sensation he can't explain, fear and pleasure
adrenalin and endorphine in a boxing match
logic and insanity the referees


The command is given, EXIT EXIT EXIT
he climbs out, his teammates right behind him
four moving as one, the sum of the parts greater than the whole
he knows, "WE own the sky!"


He lets go of the floater bar, there it is, that feeling, that rush
gravity doesn't lie, and the three who are part of him, who he is a
part of
would sooner stand in front of a moving freight train than see harm
cross his path

the universe makes sense

A demon can enter this microcosm, like any demon it can go by many
names

we never met inperson, but exchanged some Email from time to time. I will say this I am a great fan of hers, always looking to see what she is gonna post today. She brought so many smiles to my face and Loud laughs. Well, I guess I'm not telling you guys anything you don't know.
