bbarnhouse 0 #5 November 21, 2007 These are sad times for Skydive Arizona and Arizona Frayed Knot. Joe has been with this DZ clear back to Wild Horse days. His presence will be missed by so very many, but his spirit will not be forgotten. (I am really going to miss those bear hugs) So to Joe we say thank you for the poems;the songs, the whistles out the door...and the final Him...Him.. We are all better people for having known you. Your Family at Skydive Arizona.

sundevil777 102 #8 November 24, 2007 Reading his name hit me like a slap in the face. I knew him from way back in the early 1980's, while hanging out with Kevin Vetter, Dave Good, and Bob Bader (sp?). Those veteran jumpers allowed this newbie at the time to learn so much and have so much fun partying with them. Blue skies my old friend, I wish I spent more time with you the last time I was back home at the DZ. It'll have to wait a while.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
DJL 235 #9 November 24, 2007 Only met Joe briefly competing against him in CRW in 2006 Nats. He was one of the guys who made the events a lot of fun; he and the rest of Frayed made nationals more like a reunion than a competition - an attitude that exemplifies the CRW community."I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

RickHorn1 0 #14 November 27, 2007 Yikes! I remember Joe, a young kid that showed up for my FJC many moons ago. Then again, I was sort of a young kid at the time. greybeard 0 #15 December 1, 2007 I once asked Joe, what does it take to be a real crw dog. He replied, "You can get anything you want, at Alice's resturant". I replied, "you just walk right in , it's around the back, bout a half a mile from the railroad track". We became best freinds that moment.
Madison 0 #16 December 2, 2007 Now I've got Alice's Restaurant stuck in my head, thank you, thank you, thank you. Joe's on most of the walls in my house. I wake up to the 85-way flying right at me every morning, another formation in my kitchen, another in the dining room, and another in the living room. Q's in all these formations as well. When I sit with my thoughts it's overwhelmingly sad. When I look up at the walls in my house and see my friends, I can't help but smile and blow them kisses. This sure f*cking sucks though. CRW Skies, AprilExperience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
