jdobleman 0 #1 February 4, 2011 Another DZ pilot has moved on to other skies. If you ever jumped at Antioch or Byron in the 70's and 80's you probably flew with a little guy wearing a bomber jacket and yellow Taxi driver hat. That was our buddy, Little Bob. Bob has been battling cancer and other illness for the past 2 years and moved on this morning. The family is collecting stories and pictures if anyone has one they'd like to add. Bob Norman on Facebook is one way to pass it on, or Blueeyedangelz70@aol.com for his daugher Leslie. madjohn
skybytch 273 #2 February 4, 2011 Nooooo!! Little Bob flew the Cessna at Paso for awhile. Absolutely my favorite jump pilot ever. He was awesome. I swear he saw more of what my s/l students did than my freshly rated ass ever could. He'd tell me about them as we climbed another 1000 feet after I tossed the last one out. I feel lucky to have gotten to fly with him. BSBD and fly free now, Bob. Say hi to Al for me.
BobHall723 0 #3 February 10, 2011 I found a picture of “Little Bob” he was flying the 182 at Hollister. It was in the 1993 USPA Calendar for the month of May. It’s a great photo. Bob flew at the California Parachute Club in Livermore for years. He was great guy and I'll really miss him. Bob Hall

mrmike333 4 #7 February 19, 2011 Little Bob was our favorite pilot in Paso and Hollister in the late 1980s-90s. We looked forward to seeing him show up in the mornings and flying us up to altitude.Quote The best. Fittingly enough, this is half way between the old Antioch and Livermore drop zones, where Little Bob flew many a load. Bring your "Elevator One" stories. Bob said he couldn't see a thing. Had to lookout the 206 door to give him directions to land. Obviously it worked.
