What did you learn this weekend? 4/15-17

Recommended Posts

I learned that people will pick on you until you can't take it anymore, and you just have to leave. Even when you say something asking them to stop, assholes won't stop.

WRT that, I also learned that people just suck, and everyone can kiss my ass. :P

I guess these lessons have been learned over the past few weeks, but yesterday put a nice cap on my "How to Deal with Assholes" course. I got a A-fucking-plus. :D

I learned not to put 3 days of partying into one night. Where's my tylenol?? :P

I also learned that when its over, its really over and relationships do not end nicely.

I learned that it isn't worth it to try to get an earlier flight out on American Airlines. As soon as you think you will get home sooner, some asshole will cause your plane to turn around and make an emergency landing.:D

Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

I learned that you either want to wear a helmet when playing lacrosse with your kids, or at least try not to catch the ball with your face.

Ha ha, nice post. I learned that it pays to get to the DZ early even when it looks like it's going to rain, got on load 2 at 7.20 am on Saturday and that was the last load of Saturday thanks to the rain :)

I learned that life is fragile and that it hurts when people leave suddenly and unexpectantly :(

I learned alot about my reaction time. My first 'real' pack job resulted in massive line twists from risers up to... well, as far as I could see as it had pinned my head down :o. First thing I did was check my alti to see how much time I had (I had lots) and then managed to kick out and still stand up the landing! I rock :P

I learned that I'm going to love jumptown this season :)

I know what you mean! I walked away, no notice no nothin' from my last job for just the reason you mentioned. Took 'em 3-weeks to find me so they could send me my last check! :D

I learned something similar last week. Except I learned that if someone won't stop being an asshole, you threaten to bash their head in, and they'll get the fucking picture. He later told me he half expected to wake up with my 357 magnum pointed at his head. Needless to say, he doesn't fuck with me anymore. :D:D:D

I also learned, once again, whiskey makes me a very happy but belligerent drunk.

I learned that when landing, don't say "oh, not the ditch", because one will definitly land in the mud, water filled ditch (thanks for the laugh)...B|

I learned Life is short and unpredictable.

I learned why I love skydiving.
It’s not just the rush the speed.
I was pied and totally off guard when it happened.
As I was cleaning the cream off of my face I realized I am surrounded by people that I genuinely care about.
That’s a good feeling. I have never felt this close to so many people. I have made so many friends in the last year. When I was going threw AFF last year around the same time I thought by the time I have a 100 jumps I would know so much, but I know nothing and that’s actually a good feeling. It gives more drive to jump and learn more.
Don’t want to get all sappy but life is good when you are surrounded by so many awesome people.
Skydiving is so much more then just jumping from an airplane.

To everyone at Jumptown, SDLI, and all skydivers. Thank you
My life rocks because of all of you.

Sounds like a DZ I used to jump at. There are still people who I would like to smack across the face with a shovel there.

I'm with ya on that one. :D With particular emphasis on the "used to" part. My current one's usually great. Just got bad yesterday around 3 or so. :D

Sorry guys, but I'm not feeling any skydiver love right now.
