missg8tordivr 0 #1 April 18, 2005 I learned that in high winds, not only does a 220 fly differently than everyone else's canopy but it is not even close!!! Also learned that I like jumping 190s better! *** F LORIDA!
kelel01 1 #2 April 18, 2005 I learned that people will pick on you until you can't take it anymore, and you just have to leave. Even when you say something asking them to stop, assholes won't stop. WRT that, I also learned that people just suck, and everyone can kiss my ass. I guess these lessons have been learned over the past few weeks, but yesterday put a nice cap on my "How to Deal with Assholes" course. I got a A-fucking-plus. kai2k1 0 #3 April 18, 2005 I learned not to put 3 days of partying into one night. Where's my tylenol?? I also learned that when its over, its really over and relationships do not end nicely. jgarango 0 #4 April 18, 2005 I'm glad you had fun with us at Williston. Great 8-way at the end of the day. And good canopy control on those winds!!!! You are welcome anytime. And the 190 will be there for you.
Brains 2 #5 April 18, 2005 I learned that it isn't worth it to try to get an earlier flight out on American Airlines. As soon as you think you will get home sooner, some asshole will cause your plane to turn around and make an emergency landing. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you. wartload 0 #6 April 18, 2005 I learned that you either want to wear a helmet when playing lacrosse with your kids, or at least try not to catch the ball with your face.
jumpchikk 0 #7 April 18, 2005 I've learned that I suck at poker... and that flaring is a good thing and landing on my head is a bad thing.... I also learned that arching really does make you fall faster...
DrunkMonkey 0 #8 April 18, 2005 It's a bitch to troubleshoot wiring problems in a 28 year old Jeep. AMC employed really fucked up engineers.

I learned that it pays to get to the DZ early even when it looks like it's going to rain, got on load 2 at 7.20 am on Saturday and that was the last load of Saturday thanks to the rain Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
mailin 0 #11 April 18, 2005 I learned that life is fragile and that it hurts when people leave suddenly and unexpectantly I learned alot about my reaction time. My first 'real' pack job resulted in massive line twists from risers up to... well, as far as I could see as it had pinned my head down . First thing I did was check my alti to see how much time I had (I had lots) and then managed to kick out and still stand up the landing! weegegirl 2 #12 April 18, 2005 I learned that once you get about 1/2 mile from Skdyive Orange, the speed limit goes from 55 mph to 35 mph.

I learned why I love skydiving. It’s not just the rush the speed. I was pied and totally off guard when it happened. As I was cleaning the cream off of my face I realized I am surrounded by people that I genuinely care about. That’s a good feeling. I have never felt this close to so many people. I have made so many friends in the last year. When I was going threw AFF last year around the same time I thought by the time I have a 100 jumps I would know so much, but I know nothing and that’s actually a good feeling. It gives more drive to jump and learn more. Don’t want to get all sappy but life is good when you are surrounded by so many awesome people. Skydiving is so much more then just jumping from an airplane. To everyone at Jumptown, SDLI, and all skydivers.
